For the first time ever, I can get internet in St Marys Stadium on my phone. Previously I had several bars of 3G which never worked. I am now on 4G from EE and it works, almost as fast as Rodriguez. New iPhone 5s which I know everyone will tell me is not the best choice (cue TSS) but I don't care. Very happy with it and now have red and white case. After the performance yesterday, I don't care if everyone thinks I have made a mistake. <ok>

My 3G (on O2) never seems to work in Southampton on match days, either in the stadium or even in pubs before the game. O2 tell me I have I have 4G, but the only place I've ever seen it work is in the middle of London. Very useful.

Yeah, my 3G on vodaphone never worked once in the vicinity of the stadium. That's what's so nice about the 4g working inside<cool>

Yes, but people like Chilco and TSS unfortunately have it in their heads it's boring, and have decided this, without....y'know....watching the races. It's a little like me saying MotoGP is tedious, because it was about 4 seasons back.....

My 3G doesn't work anywhere and hasn't for a few months. Clearly a problem with my SIM as I had the same issue with my previous phone. Help me Beefy!

There's one thing that is definitely more boring than F1, and that's the people blathering on about how "it's cars going round in circles" or bike fans talking about how much better their sport is (clue: it really isn't).

This is when a Nascar joke should be appropriate, but as I've recently come to realise, it's probably even more technical than F1.

NASCAR for me is boring. Not much getting away from that. I'm sure it's a spectacle at the track, but as a TV event it leaves an awful lot to be desired. I don't mind oval racing as a rule - a lot of Indycar races are thrilling. But NASCAR? No, not for me.

That's the reason then. EE's 3g networks have too many users and EE can't be arsed to upgrade it or increase their coverage. They have a big 4g contract with the government so they are only interested in that. My old HTC One S has 3g with EE and that hardly works and I live in the centre of Southampton.

Not quite. I had nearly 35 years of watching F1 and MotoGP. I was an avid watcher, yet one [the four wheeled procession] would make me doze off, the other kept me riveted. I'm obviously thicker than I thought because it took me that long to realise it bored the pants off me.

In any event, I shall eventually give up watching MotoGP, because I'm certainly not paying to access BT Sport by some means, and I don't want highlights.
Besides, actually riding a motorcycle is a hundred times better than watching someone else do it, whatever the relative speed differences.

I appreciate the history TSS, but I get frustrated when people who stopped watching during the early 0s when Schumacher was boringly dominant, blithely dismiss the current variant because they've decided that F1 is boring, full stop. Like any sport, it's had periods where a single driver/team has been dominant, but that's like saying football was boring when United were winning, or Liverpool in the 80s. It rather discounts the excellent racing occurring through the field. Added to that, these torque-heavy turbo cars are a way more fun to watch than anything we've seen recently, quiet or not.

I understand you've gone off F1, and I do get that, but I get frustrated, particularly by 'bike-snobs' (not saying you are btw, but there are many) just dismissing it without watching.

.....particularly as MotoGP had a very boring period in that sense not so long ago.

Speaking of Schumacher, there are reports his wife is preparing to build a 10m medical centre at their home so she can take him back there. Which sounds a little bit made-up (particularly the £10m) to me....
