Judging by your standards I will take that as a compliment.

My tastes are very eclectic. Yes, I like cheese like B*Witched but by the same token, I like more respectable music such as The Killers or Sigur Ros, and pretty much everything in between. Ellie Goulding to ELO and so on.

Also, I hate virgin media. They've been advertising Game of Thrones on Sky on Demand but because Virgin Media doesn't get Sky Atlantic, don't get Game of Thrones either. FSS.

More notable for the fact they didn't originally credit the song to Stevie Wonder, rather ridiculously, so had the arse sued out if them for royalties.

And you expect us to take your opinion seriously when you say things like that!? I'm not a fan especially, but to say they're **** kinda negates any other opinion you present on music.

To be fair, I wasn't keen on Nirvana either. But each to their own.

**** is not a word that would or should be used in their case though, fan or not. I can't stand Metallica, but I'd never suggest they're ****.

Of course not. But this a football forum and one has to reflect that to many football fans things are brilliant or ****, with no in-between, whether they be giving an opinion on football, music or even dishwashers [don't ask why I chose a white goods appliance, it was the first random thing that entered my head]. :)

It's certainly not the way I like to interact but that's the way things are sometimes.

Fine, I think the music of Nirvana is pretty terrible from a purely subjective perspective.

The 90s was my ****. Nirvana's "nevermind" and Wu Tang's "36 chambers" were two of the first albums i owned, and are now classic albums. As well as grunge and gangsta rap, there was also indie music (or Brit Pop) and skate punk. All from the 90s.

PL clearly knows nothing about good music.

edit: I didn't even mention the electric music that originated in the 90s. happy hardcore, house, jungle, drum n bass, garage... what do we have now? dubstep and hashtag yolo.

No, he's just not very good at explaining what is a subjective opinion. Every piece of music has merit, although personally I might draw the line at Country & Western [OK, I'm only kidding :) ]

It's all about likes and dislikes, and separating objective opinion from subjective. I'm bound to say that the older one gets the easier it is to see that one's own opinion is not the centre of the universe in terms of validity.

There are no words that can describe how much I hate Ellie Goulding.

She's right up there with Emili Sande and Fearne cotton as people that are stealing a living.

Also on the **** list are; Placebo, rizzle kicks, little mix, pink, the list is endless. Current pop music is absolutely terrible. If someone turns radio one on I instantly turn it off these days. And they've also ruined deep house for me by making it popular enough to attract dickheads now.

Hey, hey! Let's not say something we might regret! Disliking Ellie Goulding is one thing, but comparing her to Emilie Sandie....!

Though I must say, I do love the song I'll Hold My Breath.
