    I find it hypocritical that the UK government has supplied Gadaffi with arms for years and now we are so against the atrocities he commits when the oil supply is under threat. And don't say it is not because of oil because it clearly is when there are many countries who are not oil rich where their leaders are committing similar and in some cases worse atrocities. I don't see the government helping the citizens of those countries.

    There is not the same level of resistance in those countries though. The Libyan people appealed to the UN and i think that is the difference.

    That, and for all the time we spent selling weapons to Gaddafi, he didn't go around dropping them on the heads of civilians.

    P.S. Did anyone think we were wrong to intervene to prevent the genocide in Kosovo? Cos that was effectively the same situation.
