It's not our brand though, and like you say, it's not our decision.
The Etihad has only been called that for the last 18 months, not many call it the city of Manchester stadium anymore and it's globally known as the Etihad.
It doesnt take long to get used to

Arsenal have signed a new sponsorship deal with Emirates but the amount paid for the stadium naming rights is decreasing because by time the current deal ends everyone will be used to calling it the Emirates.I suspose it's the same with Swansea and the Liberty.Personally i still regard the stadium as the Vetch

Some major differences there though would be the amount that Emirates were paying for the rights in the first place as Arsenal were already a global brand and weren't they your main shirt sponsor then too?
When Liberty sponsored our stadium, it was for an apparent 500k when we were in the fourth tier of the league. They've certainly benefited from our rise and global recognition and fair enough. But now that we are more recognised, surely they can't be paying as little as that to renew?

If I'm totally honest...neither do I, but like I said with regards to the Etihad, a name change doesn't take long to get used to.
Personally, I like the Liberty name myself, but I'm not that attached to it that I'd be pissed off with a name change. I wouldnt have been happy with the Vetch having a name change, but then that wasn't a brand name in the first place

I'll have to start calling the Liberty, the Council maisonette now.
Will Swansea ever have the oportunity to buy the stadium off the council ? I presume that Swansea pay rent but it seems a shame they don't get the full benefit of gate receipts etc.

We had this discussion on here a couple of weeks ago. It's a bit of a strange one because we're sharing with the Ospreys too. There are plans to expand the stadium, but the club will be paying for it.
    In short...Fcuk knows <laugh>

I love it how the Ospreys sell the stadium out every week. After all rugby is the most poular sport in Wales <doh>
Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season (except for the replay) I really hope you win the League Cup.It would be good for Welsh football in general <ok>

Personally, I think it was a shame that the new Swans stadium wasn't built out near Morriston Hospital.

It could then have been called the Cwmrhydyceirw Stadium.

Can you imagine English fans and TV commentators getting their tongues around that

Definitely something in Welsh I reckon. Firstly to help promote our language and also to see knobheads like Steve Claridge Fcuk it up trying to say it.

Cefn Coed would be apt seeing as most of the East Stand have spent time in there :D
