He briefly played there at Sheff United when we won 3-2 on boxing day a couple of years ago, after Kilbane got injured. But I don't think he's done it since, and when Dudge had to go off at Leicester it was Elmo rather than him who went to left back, that might be a clue that he isn't really being considered there.
I don't think there's an issue with him playing out the last ten minutes of a game if required, but that's the only circumstance I can see him being used there, I certainly don't think he's being considered as a possible option to start there.
just shows the quality of players brought in by Bruce, that players who we perceived to be our best are now being critisized, this improvement in the sqaud will improve the standard throughout
Exactly, the likes of Evans, McLean & Rosenior were the 1st names on the team sheet in the last couple of seasons whereas now they are back up/squad players
Im not saying get rid of Rosie at all, just pointing out he had a poor game, and we looked better when Elmo went there calllllm down. And John do you know the agreement we have in place with Elmo??? Id say Elmo is ours if we want him and on current form id say we do, so pretty much our player.
I'm not sure Evans and McLean were the first names on the team sheet, they were regulars but hardly the first name on the team sheet, especially McLean who seemed to spend a fair amount of time on the bench last year.
To be fair to Evans, I ve seen him play two stormers for Northern Ireland as a wide right midfield man in a 4. he's never played tat role for us i dont think? maybe at brighton last year, i cant remember
