We have 60 stone WOW! Gorillas and he wont go until he finds them all!!!

Seriously though, I dont think Southamption are any further ahead of Bristol City in the grand scheme, but what it sounds like they do have is a little cash going spare. The currency of football these days is actual currency, if they can agree a price with City then the deal will be done. The player will get a wage rise and a contract extension and his moving will have nothing to do with the potential of the clubs.

This potential move came out of the blue today but if someone had said the club making the bid was Sheffiled Wednesday I would still assume he would go, not for the glory, but for the chance to reestablish himself in a first team with an improved contract.

He will just stay if you offer him less wonga.
No of course weren't not,we just have a chairman that knows loads of billionaires, has big ambitions and knows how to run a business smoothly...do some research... Bristol City are a better proposition<doh>
Snap mate, bettertake your advice do some research, you will see the guy who holds the purse strings, may know a few himself, and has a fairly successful business....

Anyway good luck for the season, should be ok this year its the second year that is the tough one

Sell Sell Sell... Missed end of last season with an ankle injury which he said could end his career and he is currently out with another injury which probably won't be his last. Ledley King of the Championship (good player but injuries will also be against him).

For me, he's a something in nothing player.

He has spells where he does quite well and then spells where he is woeful, really inconsistent. but he will need to be replaced. we could do with a shake up back there anyway.

We are one of the richest clubs in England, have a chairman that wants to get in the top 6 this season and back in the
Premier League by 2014. I don't think anyone can call our club not ambitious.

In terms of Fontaine, we are entitled to enquire or bid for him. If Bristol City don't want to put a price on him, we will move on to another target...

So, we need to do our research do we...? well I suggest you do yours as well, here are a couple of facts to get you started:-

1). Our owner is Steve Lansdown - check out no. 90 on this list http://www.richest-people.co.uk/the-top-100/ -

2). As for our owners ambition, try reading this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Lansdown

notice the bit about selling a small part of his company to raise £47m towards our new stadium, see this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_City_Stadium

He has been distracted by the battle with the greens for the last 2 years but this will be sorted soon and the attention will be back on the team

In summary, we have evey bit as big plans as you and our owner is every bit as determined to get us in the prem as yours so as you say, I suggest that some of your fellow supporters take a leaf out of your own book and do your research before belittling our club that you know nothing about...

jesus, people in bristol are really keen on spelling aren't they

its an internet forum, do people expect perfect spelling and grammar?

Not saying you are, just the posters who post garbage and post petty insults about our club

i defended your club on another thread, some saints posters were complaining about your fans criticizing us, but i said it was fair enough as quite a few insults were coming from the other side
