Would you use this game to give klavan 90mins to get more up to speed or would you play Matip and Gomez together?

I assume taa will play rb and I see no reason why Robertson should not play one now. Moreno cannot be played every game or we will just Knacker him.

My bench picks are:

Mingolet, klavan, Milner, grujic, Wilson, Woodburn, solanke.

I would like to see us 4 up on 60 mins and throw on grujic Woodburn and Wilson.

 

Their defending last time was criminal, but they have managed to force a draw out of Spartak so we shouldn't be too complacent. Of course we should win, but we still need to go into it with the right attitude.

This is almost a no win situation for Klopp and the players. They are expected to win and to win well. 6-7 goals for and none conceded.

If a 1-0 or a draw (that does not even bear thinking! And a defeat is impossible) there will be huge uproar and the media will be coming down the team and manager like a ton of bricks.

I think you're right. A 7-0 away win has set the bar for the home game.

Of course I want a win and would like another huge win but I also want to see effort so I'd take a smaller margin win if the team put in real passion while getting the win and not show complacency.

 

We should win comfortably, provided we don't go out with the attitude that we just have to turn up. I'd still hope that we have a certain level of urgency, and not play like we just have to go through the motions and it'll all fall into place.

 

If I were offered a scrappy 1-0 midweek and an easy 2-0 win at the weekend is be delighted to take it.

A 6-0 midweek and a 2-2 draw v west ham is no good to us.
