I think he can say what but the other teams records this season alone AND the fact it is at home means the reserves can and should play.

I wanted us to take on the only threat in the group away from home and play and win with the best side to set us up for success.

I was unhappy with endo performance but we have to give him some time and games now to know the score and this is it.

Really we are only debating quansah, doak and maybe kelleher. I mean we have more than enough in our senior reserves to plough through this now.

Win the next two games in the group and its largely done.

There are actually some pretty tasty ties in this round, so a fair few decent teams will be eliminated.

Some players are to be rested for Tottenham game on Saturday, and is likely to make the game tough. Leicester are riding high in the championship.

Liecester are bang average. When we met in the preseason they spent half the game on thier own goal line

We cannot take Leicester for granted, otherwise we are going to take early exit from the cup. Leicester main target is to get straight back into the Premier league next season , and that is not to say they are coming to Anfield to be slaughtered. They are going going put up a fight tonight.

Yeah I’d imagine they could do without this completely and all eyes will be on coasting back to the big time

the issue for me with the league cup for them is this is away game and really their choice now is whether a big home game in the next round is possible.

There's no prize money so a club like them is really playing for pride and gates. this comp is really only for the smaller clubs to get a bit of gates and the oil clubs to win for ego. Its utterly pointless otherwise.

they have a good start in the championship but are not running away with it yet. Its right now a 3 horse race but others can catch up.

They play every midweek as well so they have to think about resting but also don't want a bad loss.

A family member supports Leicester so I tend to follow what they're doing a bit more than other teams. They always play a weakened team in the cups.

Its hard to say isn't it?

In the end focusing only on us I would absolutely not play the side from LASK (this should surely be our benchmark)

    Kelleher,
    Bajcetic, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas,
    Elliott, Endo, Gravenberch,
    Doak, Nunez, Diaz.

I would think that Quansah, jota and gakpo, at minimum, come into that line up for konate, nunez and diaz.

But I would go same line up
    But 3:2:2:3

    Kelleher,
    Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas,
    Bajcetic. Endo
    Elliott, Gravenberch,
    Doak, Nunez, Diaz.

Yeah, that kind of what we ought to expect out of it if klopp plays bajectic at RB.

I would not want to risk nunez when his intrnational manager talked about a little issue. I'd want him ready for spurs.

diaz is a maybe maybe not.

I also really don't want to risk either konata or matip who are both injury prne etc. what about gomez as RCB?

We'd be in League One if MITO was Klopp!

    And Elliott wouldn't get a chance <laugh>

    then i'd play him.

I'd not be asking him to apologise for something i did though ;)

Yeah there’s no need for either of the front three that played vs West Ham:

    kelleher
    Gomez Konate quansah tsimikas
    Elliott Endo gravenberch
    Doak gakpo Jota

    something like that
