That’s a horrendous decision for the red card. Any ref would look at that on var and say it’s not a red but yet again they hide behjnd a ‘clear and obvious’ reasoning which means **** sll
Awful start, and i mean fukin awful. Ridiculously harsh red card Glad to see Endo get on. Seems to have good positional sense Diaz fantastic again, delight to watch. And
"Can you stop singing that ****?" If that what he says? If so, what were they singing? I can't make it out
I still can't believe how poor we were at the beginning of the game. Seems to be a common theme for about a year. Thankfully, we took control and there were some serious standout performances - Szbozlai and Diaz were immense and I thought VVD was very good. Robbo seemed to hold back today which was encouraging but that left flank in general is still an issue.
Good result. We grew into the game and despite the poor start, the end game made it look like it was never in doubt. Immense performances by Szoboszlai and Diaz, Virgil very solid and good introduction for Endo.
things to feel good about. diaz "output". you can have a better output than 2 games 2 goals but not by much! he should be exciting everyone Szoboszlai instant impact from big signing. People should be looking forward to seeing him each week. alisson. looks trim and in sensational form things people should be sighing about trent floundering about trying to be a 6 when we are in our own pen area. this simply ****ing doesn't ****ing work. move in there when we have it up the park not when all we are ****ing is narrowing the pitch to make it easier to be ****ing pressed!!! his touch was woeful and goal conceded. stop this madness. put him 6 if you like, but play a rb so we have 4 across to use the full width
Anyone know how Endo got on for his 30 minutes? In a team with 10 men we apparently got better wondered if he had any impact?
Can argue for and against the TAA move till cows come home. But as someone else mentioned there’s a difference between being good in the ball and being in CM with game in front of you, and reviving the ball from your CB not knowing what’s behind you. Jot saying TAA can’t do it, but his natural instinct isn’t to glance over his shoulder and roll one way or get his body in line with an oncoming press of the player. It takes players a long time to be fully comfortable there. Rodri does it brilliantly and knows when can roll, when to shield, when to play ball straight back. TAA just getting sloppy and thinking has too much time.
Hard to say for me We defo looked far more solid but the game went after Jota’s goal It could have been Endo but it could have been siege mentality I think he will be useful when he has Szos and Mac with him but we will have to wait for that Sorry not more helpful
He did ok, but there's not a lot to go on. He only arrived yesterday so it'll take a bit of time for him to get used to the system and his team-mates.
Agree. Just wondered if he got about the pitch, won any tackles and seemed to fit in ok. Assume Macs red doesn’t get overturned (can’t see it happening as they just don’t do it these days) then it looks like he’ll be thrown in against Newcastle. szobo Endo gakpo?
You're probably aware that I've been against it - he's neither fish nor fowl atm and I think we need to decide where he's playing and take it from there. There was a spell of a few minutes where he was out wide and put in a couple of crosses - it made me nostalgic for the times when he did that all game.
First few minutes he was very involved and even created an opportunity. After that is did alright, just went about his job without much fuss really, exactly what you want from a DM. Can't recall him getting any tackles in though
The fact that Klopp put him on today certainly indicates that he's in contention for a starting role. The loss of MacA makes it almost inevitable. I'm not entirely sold on Gakpo being there - I think he's an intelligent player and more suited to the Firmino role.
