Maybe not. I'd have to think about them all to say and thinking is hard.
I was just saying that I like those breathtaking breakaway goals that involve 3 or 4 incisive passes a bit more than a solo long-range effort. The latter are great, but football is a team game and seeing people work together well is more satisfying.

Yeah, Sarah's v utd was classic klopp.

Win it, salah is just gone. Dalot is mile up the park and we have our plan.

One pass, first time hit. Goal.

If salah takes a touch martinez probably gets to him.

End of block 2, finally some reasonable data to talk about

Where does this season Compare with 2019/20
You must log in or register to see images

Interestingly goals scored has now crept up to come to the same level as 2019/20 where the team was all business. We have actually conceded less goals per block over these two ealry blocks.

Its very early days and the games played shows we have played a cuple more of the easier games than we should have by now but the points are in the bag (bar that awful loss to forest)

We are just about on the level of 2 goals per game overall and 0.5 goals per game conceded.

Our achilles heel under klopp was goals against v the top hapf teams. The better ones who could get by an initial press or had a bit of quality to finish.

Last year we were 1.4 goals per game conceded v the top half and no side can compete for a title at that level.

You'll get top 4 but not a title. For me slot has to get the % wins inthe top half up (klopp had 33% wins and 44% draws last year) and maintain the record we had against the bottom half of 85% wins. (we did lose 2)

We are talking 8 more points that last year so those 7draws v top half and 2 loses. You have to conver some to wins and defence will do that for you imo.

Mini gaps but nothing that can’t be closed or overtaken within 2 results really.

Why a win over arsenal would be huge this weekend. Current gap is 4, could be 1, 4 or 7 after Sunday.

For the first time Liverpool have won the first six away games in the season.
Also Liverpool have won 11 games out of 12 games for the first time.

Arne Slot has earned 28 points form his first 11 Prem games ,the joint most at this stage by a manager. along with Guus Hiddiink at Chelsea.

Points per game is identical vs top and bottom half teams, but we're scoring and conceding more against top half teams. That would back-up the theory that we only do "enough" vs lesser teams, while top half teams are more likely to find a way through and score themselves, so we have to score more against them.

I think this is sort of interesting picture emerging.

Chelsea are absoutley bullying the non top 6 but have been poor v the top 6. (they drew with an awful utd and arsenal in the midst of thier own crisis).

the gap is most down to how we have done agasint top 6 clubs, (cheslea included)

The gap to arsenal however is 5 points v top 6 and 4 v non top 6.

Again for those of a mind I would like to point out our run in.

Week 34 LFC v Spurs
Week 35 Cheslea V LFC
Week 36 LFC v Arsenal.

I'd suggest we need as big a gap as possible for that run in.

Week 37 special mention to my favourite Brighton A

I wouldn't get one bit carried away by a 9 point gap after 13 games when that gap is needed just to get by those games. Its a tough tough run in folks.

You want to see this title all but put to bed with 10 to go. (city away game week 26)

And yes this does mean there is a big period in january and feburary of a run of games we ought to be winnig, Forest, brentford, ipswich, bournemouth, wolves all in a row.

A quick note

Mo salah
Played 20
Scored 13
Assists 11

In the premier league
Played 13
Scored 11
Assisted 7

In the cl
Played 5
Scored 1
Assisted 4

League cup
Played 2
Scored 1

Let's just think about that.

Played 13 and part of 18 goals.

If Mo salah was English the media would be all over this.

This is poty and balon d'or territory, though only a third of season.
