Yes but the players he has sold were £50m, £76m and £50m. (Torres, Suarez and Sterling).
Thats a lot of moolah and its only 3 players, plus they have spent almost double the amount they got for those 3 players.
Brendans spending alone is like £260m.
I wouldn't exactly call that hindered. You should be able to build a kick ass squad for nearly £300m.

No, managers should be judged on results and trophies.

Another trophy less year for Rodgers and it'll be seen as a failure (unless we come 2nd last 2 years ago)

  4. Id rather pay entertaining football and win ****all. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to win something though.

Same applies to winning a cup, why should it mean we sacrifice top four?

Agreed. You are right at the end of the day, its results that count.
Rodgers should have won the league in 2014. Was so close.

Your point about CL qualification is only part of the reason a club attracts big name players, take a look at the average wages at the current top 4 clubs compared to ours.
City started off under the oil sheikh's ownership with no CL and no track record of success so the obvious attraction to the players they signed was the big wages, our owners are frugal when it comes to wages and the type of players we sign reflect that.
