NZ are way clear on RR thanks to smashing australia so essentially they just need any win to go through. Is a scenario where they win but still go out but would need something stupid like England and australia both winning by 150 runs and New Zealand only winning by 1 run in theory. Sri Lanka can go through if they win and Afghan/aus is either called off or Afghan win so unlikely. we just need to win. Most likely any kind of win will see us through, but If australia win big then we might have to win by certain amount, but we as play last will know before game starts what’s needed.

If prob say the opposite. Put Afghan in and then go mental and try and chase them down quickly. always easier to do that than bowl a side out really cheaply
They ain't that ****ing good either. This is a close yer eyes and swing sport so it does level out things. Esp if you are a bowler with no more ambitions than this level and are willing to play to lines and keep scores down etc. It's like saying Ireland are not that bad. well thats an interesting set of results. australia really didn't get anything like what they needed the NZ game was interesting cos ireland had a hat trick but still have 180 odd runs chalked up against them. thats some scoring by NZ. England actually have to deliver now, thats the thing. At this point looking at the table sri lanka are out and only fulfilling a fixture. So england really have no excuses here. ther eis a risk Sri lanaka want to just show something but ithe end if england can win toss and sat well you'd think the Sri lankan heads will drop.
