111/5 kohli got an absolute lovely one nobody could do anything with IMO. robinson has bowled at a super level. so much more pressure with overton and woakes supporting than with curran.
Been a good performance from England. Just enough movement from the ball. Has woakes been injured? Seems to hasn’t played in ages but the guy just constantly picks up wickets in these conditions and is very handy with the bat.
this big call has paid off. 122/6 cant get much better than that. Constant, ongoing, pressure on india all day from very good consistent bowling in the same sort of places that has paid off. Last match england added 2 batsmen who look like batsmen and this match have added woakes who can bowl in the conditions. The 4 are similar but right for the conditions and importantly have enabled the pressure to build. India resisted from 3 down but one went under the pressure and 3 were gone quick enough, good batting and leaving but the balls delivered were pretty good to get them.
