Really good comeback from England that. Stokes hasn’t been brilliant today and so far in tournament. If others had kept with him we’d have won a couple more games as well

yup. last two were easy wins if people had the least bit of sense to take easy singles and keep strike rotating.

the fact is the game has become a bloggers paradise so when they hit a bump they show zero awareness or ability to craft a score.

right now we are seeing the difference between real elite players and England.

England have thrown back on archer and are getting desperate.

India won't throw their wickets away here. they'll just stick in and score what's there and see him off.

44 off the last, all over then. Great stuff from England, good batting total and bowled well.

Over to the NZ game then

having the batting first helped. I'm fairness the big stand in the middle by India was just as good as bairstows but the England bowlers got the job done and India just didn't have the finish.

I reckon England need to be batting first ;)

    Credit to England. Great performance.

No idea what Dhoni and Jadhav we’re doing at the end but no coincidence as soon as Dhoni came in, that the scoring slowed down.

I get the feeling india are way too loyal for their own good. back a few years ago, a good few dhoni was the main man but as of now? I can't beleive india doesn't have a faster scoring wicket keeper.

Few suggesting was tactical to stop Pakistan being favourites to go through... not sure sportsman would do that tbh. There was similar game in ODIs last year where Dhoni came in and just knocked singles around for 10 overs so has previous.

Dhoni used to be a great power hitter but more importantly, he was such a strong runner between the wickets. Hes obviously getting on a bit but not being able to easily rotate the strike increases pressure.

The last couple of games have been good for his average, but he’s not pacing his innings at all. He used to get away with starting slow because he would smash loads of boundaries at the end.

That’ll be Pant. Very unorthodox batsman but lot of potential. He’ll be the next WK for us.
