How is it not cricket? Just a different format to the old school test matches that a lot don't want to watch anymore. If it wasn't for the T20s ipl cpl etc cricket would not be as popolar as it is. It's a fact. Bit like cl with bullshit seedings not league winners or darts with the various formats. It's all about the money.
It was a tounge in cheek suggestion. It is a different form of the game largely in favour of the batsmen and instantly forgettable. Both have a place I would argue but red ball cricket is increasingly marginalised in this country.
Fair enough. It does appeal to the younger generation though in excitement and all over in 1 day rather than dragged out over 5 days. It's not always a skill thing either in test as I have seen more from gayle and kohlI in 20 overs than seen over 5 days in a test match. It's a personal preference thing I guess.
England v NZ. Root and Bairstow tearing them apart atm. 199/1. Root 50, JB, 100. Some aweosme hitting so far
Jist saw that. England collapsed to ‘only’ set 336. Were looking at 370 when root and Bairstow were in. Great knock from Taylor it seems. Sets it up nicely for final game though
yeah it was a tight one. nz had loads of wicks in hand in final over. 3 balls left when they won so... well good total. good chase.
NZ 146-6 with 12 overs left, not going to be a big total. Not sure what the conditions are like................ This ones the decider I believe
