And england have done as expected. Batting upper order collapse again having seen india establish a huge first innings lead. High probability india wont bat again but imo only bairstow(who only learned how to play spin this winter ffs) and stokes stands between england an an innings defeat.
yeah once england lost a couple wickets it totally went to **** and buttler really saved face at the end. the batting order is all mussed up. theres seemingly suddenly no faith in moeen cos he is picked as batsman then put into bowl and really this is the top top side in world test cricket giving a midtbale side what for.
Kind of expected cos when heads are down theres little resistance in englad. Bairstow is a ****ing real man who stands up. fair play to him. he got creamed with spin and went away and learned. the rest? weak kneed.

yup. moeen has struggled a little being so high in the order but resorted to sweeping and getting a score of some sort. I think he's done his best this series under very trying circumstances. root gone for 88 and bairstow, our best player all series, is in. moeen is on 75 which is great for him here. I think england have won the toss quite a bit in this series and failed to do anything with it 223/3 is a good score for now though.
moeen closing on 100 and bairstow about to take a 50. IMO once the bowling starts this will be put in context but the best they can do is do their personal best and build their stats.
