Hales deserves a bit of a chance.. his one day game is good. But he needs to learn to just tick the scoreboard over and stay in playing good shots. Vincent and Compton are leaving a hole in the side big style We need to think what to do here. Root at 3 is a call but if we want to be positive and go 4 an over he will come in anyway. The question is about having any other player for it. Stokes and Ali are down the line a bit so will not come up. Could buttler come in?

Watching Kent v Sussex. Tyrell Mills, ridiculously good. Quickest bowler in circuit and in 20/20 games guy can be unplayable at this level. Such a shame his back is as ****ed as rhc's and can only do small short spells, as he'd be brilliant for England in Tests.
