At this point yes. If they'd got them for cheap after 1.5 days I'd be tempted as I'd rather a half day to get 150 to win than chasing wickets to win on day 5.
Glad I got to watch a bit yesterday and not see any today Absolutely nothing happening now....no way we're going to go through them twice unless they implode.
The third slowest in test history....done what he's had to do but fair to say I've given up on this one
unless they utterly fall apart and then we set them 400 for last day and then they fall apart again... nah this one is over completely.
6 down with lead of 150? Still think till be a draw as we'll want to bat and get a big lead over 300/350
things are certainly kicking off.... the only thing to hope for here is they go quick and the ptich has enough in it for a blast with spin day 5 i don't know if its broken up enough anyway..... yes. day 5 with 400 lead = cannot lose.
Lead down to 125 now, 55 runs from 50 balls has killed the game pretty much. At least there was a tickle of interest for an hour
its good fight from SA. England are showing a lot of mettle in trying to fight for the win. they are trying everything to get something out of the pitch. there's nothing there.
yup some were deffo catchable. finn's was forgivable there and bairstows glove drop was bad positioning.
More interestingly, see the Indian kid that score 1000 runs... In one innings Apparently it's not even an awful standard either.... While Chris Gayle is told off for a bit of flirting with the interview woman.... Who is pretty fit to be fair
the indian kid.. right so the boundary was 30 yards... and the opposition was bowled out for 35.... total. so... his 1000 runs... all that impressive? if you got a decent county player and basically bowler dollys to him with a 30 yard rope, would you expect him to get 1000 runs? ypu. "The playing area shall be a minimum of 150 yards (137.16 metres) from boundary to boundary square of the pitch, with the shorter of the two square boundaries being a minimum 65 yards (59.43 metres). The straight boundary at both ends of the pitch shall be a minimum of 70 yards (64.00 metres). Distances shall be measured from the centre of the pitch to be used. In all cases the aim shall be to provide the largest playing area, subject to no boundary exceeding 90 yards (82.29 meters) from the centre of the pitch to be used. " Seriously they must have been right o nthe edge of the useable pitches for a kids game and the guy just shovelled 59odd 6s over that boundary rope. he faced 323 deliveries = bascially 53 overs and 120 odd 4s. in short... i'm meh... it was 1465/3 declared v 31 all out and 52 runs all out in second innings... that shows what he was up against.... at least they'd the good grace to not bat a second time eh? I'm so what... given the conditions is it all that? gayle was hilarious... don't blush baby... he actually said that. it was ****ing you what... it started out ok. if he'd laughed it off after the first little flirty line there'd be nothing about it. he seriously kept digging.
A couple of the quotes from other people are interesting: Fox Sports reporter Neroli Meadows told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. that Gayle had said similar things to her and several other female reporters. "He does this constantly... He has creepy behaviour and the way he did it to Mel was just that, and Mel knew it was going to happen," she said. Chris Rogers, Gayle's former captain at Sydney Thunder, accused him of being a bad influence on younger players. "This is a pattern of behaviour. If you know the guy, you see it over and over," said Rogers ******* If they're not just sticking the boot in, it does make him sound like a bit of a prick.
