Think get to 450 then start having a slog.

Problem like they mentioned earlier is you don't really want the bowlers going back to back unless knock them out very quickly. Get 500, bowl them out for 250 or 300, bat again get quick runs and get a lead of 350 then hope to bowl them out again with fresher bowlers.

 

i think you take the two days. Either finish today and have a bowl late on or give india a half hour run about in the field tomorrow then declare.

IF you get 500.

to get a win here you need to not let inida take 2 days over their innings.

but it could be all for naught if england f it up wit the bat from here.

Shame can't go back to asking the player if he caught it and taking their word for it as 3rd umpire always gives them not out.

 

Butler couldn't have come in at a more perfect moment. No pressure to score runs given the score that was already on the board, could just go out, get his eye in and then play his natural game.
