Serious? That's ridiculous short odds considering no team has ever scored more than 400 to win in the 4th innings of a test

  6. Yep but with William Hill.

I was listening to TalkSport yesterday and Paddy Power was on talking about the weekends crazy bets. Someone had put a quid on Barkley to score first and Everton to win 8-0. Now obviously, this is extremely unlikely so the odds should be high. They were a pathetic 2,500-1! I was expecting 100,000-1 at least.

Embarrasing eh. Not even a shred of resistance from any of the batsmen bar Cook. Only one half century on a wicket like that is shambolic.

As we all said through the summer the bowling attack can't carry the team forever. Yet the batsmen seem to have regressed even further. Piss poor.

Now we'll see how much character there really is in this team.

I've not even looked at the scorecard.

Just saw the headline England humiliated.

Though the Aussies haven't lost a test match at the gabba for over 25 years.

No they haven't but this one is about the manner of the defeat. Having had such a good first day with the ball too. What a waste of an opportunity to put them straight on the back foot.

From what I've heard they just bounced us out. Return of the body line series.

We will come good I'm sure.

My mate who moved to Dubai big cricket fan, bumped into Paul collingwood yesterday, got his photo with him. Made his year.

Colly was class. Probably the best fielder I've ever seen (along with Jonty Rhodes).

Colly was a great player. Great all rounder.

Bit annoyed I missed Freddie flintoff in my local this week.

****ing hell. What a ****ing debacle. Now Trott's ****ed off with a 'stress-related problem'. I never expected this after the first day, but then again, it's test cricket. Nice of Michael Clarke to tell Anderson he's going to get a broken arm <doh>

It's not done with yet though <ok>

To be honest, I think England will bounce back - I remember the test series in India which they lost the first test, and everyone thought it was gonna be a whitewash. Sense the same thing will happen in Australia.

And to be honest, I can't see the problem with Clarke's comments. I'm sure a lot worse has been said. <ok>

Otherwise known as fear. Or is that not going to please the PC brigade? The correct decision though.

The fact is the Aussies will pick at this relentlessly, we really need to boot them right back in the bollocks at Adelaide or they could hammer us.

Like I said previously, this really exposes Bairstow and <cough> as they now both have to play, with I assume KP at three. All of a sudden we've only got Cooke, Bell and Pietersen as gilt edged batsmen.

Would promote Bell to 3, he's done great at 5 but I much have him handle a newer ball (should we lose one of the openers early) than KP.
Put Root up on, Bairstow at 6.
Don't think I'd change the bowlers for the next test, the batsmen cost us this match!
