I like the thread as it's good to give credit where due but I also agree with the above.

As one my manc friends told me last week, if he can get that bunch of idiots to win the league, then he truly is a genius...<laugh><laugh>

Dont know about the genius bit but he certainly has been the best football man-manager there has been for a very long time...!!! Good luck to the bloke...:emoticon-0137-clapp

I've heard he's not staying with the club and taking up the director position and has opted instead to follow the route of a lot of retiring pensioners and joined the B&Q call center!

What do you mean the *uckin kitchen don't fit, move the *uckin walls a bit then.....

Fantastic career. The intense rivalry between the clubs will always make it difficult to actually "like" him, but his record speaks for itself and he deserves all the credit he'll get for that.
It's also a reminder of the need to give managers time, as he seemed to be going nowhere at first.

It'll be very interesting to see where Utd go from here. I'm sure momentum will carry them for a while, but their next appointment is crucial, he'll have a lot to live up to.

    you guys are the best!

I'll retire only when gerrard does.... unless you pay me off that is. I will expect a retirement thread as good as this one though

LMAO and that's just thinking about MFG!

Seriously though as Loyd Grossman and latterly Sir David Frost used to say on "through the Keyhole"

    "Lets look at the evidence"

Rafa has demonstrated he doesn't have any issue with joining huge rivals of LFC

United are the strongest team by far but if there is a chink in the armor you would have expected them to do more in Europe, maybe need a manager who has a decent record there....

Local-ish to West Kirby his home..

Everton ...... see point one re. rivals

Everton are *hite so need someone to improve them all over <whistle>

    Very local to home!

He could joint either if offered, would be away from the plastics down south, back living in a part of the world he loves, and could get to see the wife every night.

Ah hang on just spotted the drawback....................
