So Sidney and Flaspur - what would you do if you were chairman?
So Sidney and Flaspur - what would you do if you were chairman?
Good question, I see a lot of our fans slate Levy but then when asked if they would of sacked AvB and even now sack Sherwood they answer Yes to both questions.
Levy isn't perfect, far from it but he does however have ambition and Spurs best interests at heart.
Brendan Rogers politely said that he gave Spurs a miss because he felt he wouldn't get time to realise his plans. Translated into proper-speak Rogers was saying 'there's no way I'd work for that **** Levy, he'd sack me the first time I lost a game', the trigger happy f**ker.
Exactly, yet there still remains a contingent of fans that thinks the sun shines out of his arse and he can do no wrong. If top managers are now at the point of passing up the opportunity to manage Spurs, then we are being held back from fulfilling our true potential as regular top 4 contenders. Levy is a great numbers man. There's a place in the club for him to continue that great work and get our stadium plans into full swing. But please, please lord... give us a Chairman who can identify a good manager/coach to work within our club's system, nurture talent and identify top transfer targets. Levy isn't cut out to do it and the sad thing is, he know's it. He's just too power crazed to admit it!
I don't know if that was aimed at me because of my last comment, but tbh Levy isn't going anywhere so we might as well accept this and support him, after all what's the alternative?
I wouldn't call him power crazed though, if he was then why would he consistently insist on having a DoF/Sporting Director etc?

The DOF is a shield to deflect criticism when it is khazi time.
How many more times has Levy got to prove his incompetence with the appointment of managers before everyone realises that this particular emperor has no clothes?
Support him? What choice do any of us have? Like it or lump it, that's the start and finish of it. But why, on a debating forum, would anyone even begin to argue that he should not be criticised?
Levy is standing before us all stark bollock naked, and yet some fans are getting pissed-off with me because I won't agree with them that he's dressed up like a dandy. Well, sorry, lads, but I'm telling you I can see his bollocks.
Good job no one has then? Some may defend him, but no one says he's immune from criticism?
SD, mate, have you seen some of the comments tweeted to the BBC Football website? They're supposedly from Spurs fans (although I suspect some of them may well be Gooner wums), and they genuinely believe that Levy is untouchable.
Okay, I'm prepared to accept that there will always be a small number who will take the contrary view to even the most reason of counter-arguments, but - I'm sorry - anyone who genuinely thinks that Levy deserves to be in his current job is blind.
thought you meant on here. My mistake.thought you meant on here. My mistake.
I agree - he is responsible for taking us from mid-table to Champions League!Nah, I think we're all pretty much of the same mind on this board. Sure, there are a couple of us who are more willing to be generous towards Levy, but I think all of us would agree that he's responsible for, at the very least, part of what's happened to our club.

...and back again. What gets my goat about our esteemed Chairman is that when Redkanpp got fourth place the first time around, out came Teflon Dan to talk to the Sky cameras. All gleaming, full of himself at the amazing success he has brought to the club by hiring Harry. Onwards and upwards was the sentiment and he was all full of smiles and praise. Fast forward only a year or so... Now where is he after a few (nothing short of) dreadful managerial decisions? You can't simply cherry pick when to have a public persona when it suits you. You're either going to be out front, take the praise when it works, and take the crticism when it doesn't and stick to it. He just picks and chooses when it suits to massage his ego.
Redknapp never got us 4th, that was Vdv, Jol, Berbatov and the three musketeers. But has Levy ever spoken to the media? I can't remember a single media interview.
