No. Hardcore are the people who will go every week no matter what. Irrespective of division, poor results, crap owners. Nothing puts them off. They could be aged 10, 30, 50 or 90. There will always be those and they will be there if we get relegated. The ones who are more interested in seeing the opposition won't be. Was arguing that with a Leeds fan in the pub the other week who was on about how good their support was and how ours were only there to watch Man Utd, Liverpool etc. If that is the case, I asked him, how come Leeds only get 26,000, from a city 3 times the size of Hull, to watch them play Blackburn, Wigan, Wolves etc but would sell out every week in the PL. That makes 13,000 of their 39,000 more interested in who they are playing than just supporting Leeds.
No. Fans who started going when we got to the PL and then liked what they saw and will stick with us are different to people who just roll up for a game against one of the PL teams.
Am I goinng now? No. But not because they aren't doing well. As things stand it is unlikely I will be going in the near future either. I know it is a local match for you today but shouldn't you be setting off?
Reinforces the point their much vaunted support isn't that hot. But miss the point or ignore it in order to post a pathetic response, Chazz.
You're not "hardcore" based on Dick 'eds criteria. I don't use words like "hardcore". I have my reasons for not attending, I'm doing what's morally right for me. Others, the same. I have no desire to justify them to anyone nor ask anyone to justify what they choose to do. I don't feel the need to big up my support by setting standards to be met in order to be considered a "hardcore" supporter. If I did I'd make sure I fulfilled the criteria before I took the piss out of others. You'd look stupid not to. I hate PLWs as much as the next man but you and the others in the Old Farts Club come over as sad old ****s who think they're the only ones who have ever supported the club. The rest are just their for the PL. it's almost as if you're bitter that the younger generations will see better times than you did. "Through thick & thin, stopped supporting or threw the towel in... unless it's for a reason that suits." Good luck, stay well.
Who mentioned you ? Who said you had to do anything to justify your support ? It's all in your big head. Get outside an enjoy the sunshine, it's later then you think.
Cheshire Cat has been over dosed on the Viagra a bit and his blood pressure is up. Ignore him pal like everyone else does.
Having my drive done. They have just dumped a load of bits of brick and stuff on it and started spreading it about. I asked the bloke what it was. He said hardcore. I said, " hardcore? GTF."
