Yes Dai, we will not be Lucky forever but it doesnt matter now does it!! we have made a fortune,got to the premier league for at least 2 seasons and forced cardiff to change identity and colour to try and hang on to our coat tails !1 all done on one of the lowest budgets in the CCC !! you could argue that we are well over due a run of bad luck but you could also argue the foundations put in place will help us to ride that bad luck out. Its not exactly lucky to lose 3 managers in 4 seasons is it ?? We may get the next appointment wrong but it doesnt matter to me now, the club has secured a chance to put down real long term investment and growth and we will bear the fruits of our recent success for many years to come, most other clubs are trying to copy us, we are light years ahead of many many football clubs and when the football bubble bursts or at least punctures it will level the playing field for us even more..its all gravy for our club and we should be very happy with how amazing the journey has been. Im kind of resigned to us struggling next season but i still beleive that there is another rabbit to be pulled out of the hat..."he who dares rodney,he who dares"
Hi jinks, sorry I mean Huw, It's just I've read so many posts with people wondering if your enjoying yourself on your hols the last couple of days I've started to forget which one you are!! Look mate, sorry to bother on your hols like. Just wanted to say even though a few of the locals are getting restless back home here. Well, actually it's only one really!!! So no need to get all too concerned!! You take all the time you need innit, whilst sipping a few Mojito's at the poolside. Afterall you may as well, the blinking weather's awful ere like & they say it's not going to get better for a while yet, so it fits in well with you getting us a brand new boss by the end of next week!! So all us Jacks are looking forward to you coming back, once your well rested & with a nice tan too of course!! Look, if it's not too much trouble? I know it's quite expensive & all that. People have accused you of being like a skinflint in the past. Could you give the club a call, maybe just a quick one before you go out in the sun?? Cos heard in the pipeline there's a couple of letter's at your desk, as some other people are interested in being our boss & they thought they'd better apply to save you approaching them!! They've done it they said, because that's what all the run of the mill clubs do like, not like us of course, we go looking for what we want. Noah's Yard is the bar that likes to use its front to make a statement every few days, driving past there last week their sign said "Brendan Who" which seemed quite apt.

Why anyone wouldn't be happy with our board is beyond me, yes we have lost our manager which is a shame but that is because we are a small club in a very big league who proved a massive amount of experts completely wrong last year which is predominantly down to the boards vision. Hey if we are a feeder club for managers yet still progress then so be it keep the compo coming in and hj and the gang in you we trust keep taking our club forward stid
Dear Mr Jenkins Like the rest of us, I am sure that a few weeks ago you were looking forward to a relatively stress free summer; can just imagine your chagrin when the scouser’s took a few minutes off from ‘fiddlin’ the ‘leccie’ to nick our manager (I would hasten to add, before our sensitive cousins up the road accuse me of racism, that the last remark was made in an attempt at humour and in no way was meant to denigrate Liverpudlians who are all thoroughly trustworthy and decent human beings!) After the magnificent season you have provided us with, I do not for a minute begrudge you a little holiday, working or otherwise, but it seems there are some (one) of us that does; that questions your ability to choose a new manager (even though you have had plenty of practice in recent years) and also, unbelievably, questions your desire to keep us in the top flight! I however have every confidence in your ability to steer us in the right direction, even though the aforementioned realist believes you have just been lucky; well I for one will take luck every time; luck that provided us with managers that have all built, and improved on, what had gone before – luck that provided us with a magnificent squad of players who got lucky with all their passes that found the mark – and all the lucky goals and defensive performances – and our lucky progress to the play off final last season (which we won by 4 lucky goals to 2). I don’t do the lottery but, with all the luck that has been going around Swansea the last few years I think I may start! I have every faith in your judgement but, as I am not a realist, I obviously don’t know what I am talking about! However I will continue to exercise my right of free speech and voice opinions that are obviously totally naïve and ill considered to anyone who ‘knows all about football’. I know that I am only an educationally subnormal plebeian who has been taken in by the incredible luck we have had this past few years and have overlooked the glaring faults and inadequacies in your decision making that would have been so cruelly exposed if you hadn’t been such a jammy bastard! So I am right behind you Huw – even though the structures you have put in place for our proud club have obviously been built on sand and will come tumbling down very soon! But I will continue to dream of a bright future – some are ‘glass half empty’ but I prefer to be ‘glass half full’ – being an optimist or pessimist has no bearing on what will happen – but us optimists have a far better time! So you can take realism and shove it where the sun don’t shine; I will continue to blindly, and stupidly, follow the luckiest team in the history of lucky teams! Now where’s my lottery ticket?!!!
