the amount of last minute goals I have conceded to lose points with my Cheltenham team is unbelievable, it must be about 15 points now and I'm only In January, I'd be right up there if I could hold out for some results.
Question: Basically I'm a bit of a FM, so how reliable are star ratings for players? Cos for Saints I scouted Owen Hargreaves, and he got 1 star, but for attributes for Defencive Midfielders, Hargreaves had more better attributes than Schneiderlin, who's current rating is 3.5 stars. I don't understand :'(
Star ratings depend on how good your scouts are - I've always kind of ignored them though, with experience of 4* strikers struggling to 10 goals while 2.5* strikers knock in 25.
Star ratings are pointless, just look at specific stats that are relevant to a players position, for example for a striker, look for high ratings in finishing, composure, and off the ball.
Okay thanks Do you have any idea then why Hargreaves would be 1* when he is better (judging by attributes relevant to position) then 3.5* Schneiderlin?
Just started a new game, couldn't really get into my other saints career, so I started again. Signed Wellington Nem for 3.5 million, and swapped Jason Puncheon and Steve De Ridder for Jonathan Parr, and my first game in the Premier League wasn't helped by the fact I had Steven Davis injured and Jack Cork unfit, so had to throw Richard Chaplow and James Ward-Prowse against Chelsea, who were massive favorites. I'm guessing the image don't work, or it doesn't mention the 30 yard free kick he scored in his first game against Chelsea nahh he's class. On a 7.28 after 5 games, but for one the whole team was poor! worth 3.5 million and more!
I'm 11th (same number of points as 9th) with 24 points after 19 games (first season). Top scorer is Lambert on 6 goals but he's just got injured. Rodriguez has been playing well so I have a good replacement. The team seems to play worse when Ramirez plays so I've left him on the bench a lot recently. I got knocked out the cup in the 3rd game. Won the first on penatlies after 0-0 against some lower league team can't remember, beat Norwich 2-0. Then I was 4-0 down to United at Old Trafford and pulled it back to 4-3 after switching to 334 but couldn't get a 4th so got knocked out. The team went on a decent league run after that so must have taken confidence from it
Play Rodriguez as first choice. He scored 28 goals in my second season and won the golden boot. He's an assassin in front of goal. Only 16 in third season but still got a few games left. And Guly retired at 31!
