Only used him once for England and sparingly as a sub for Saints. Rodriguez suits my Saints system better. He's better than on previous game and has an aerial presence still.

Bollocks. Poland beat me 1-0 on their patch to put me 2nd in the final game and Ukraine go through in 1st.

Now have to overcome Sweden in a World Cup Play-Off.

Lost 5-3 in Sweden, won 1-0 at home.

England fail to make 2014 World Cup. Players think expectations of them to qualify were too high. Gerrard and Cole retire.

Not doing badly for me - 7 goals in 20 games with a 7.05 rating. Playing him often because my biggest signing Gary Hooper still hasn't scored :(

I can't get Rickie to score for love nor money. Tried every role and he even missed a ****ing penalty.

Play him against the top teams as a Target man support, if you play on counter he might not score but his knock downs are priceless.
Having said that Jayrod scored a hatrick against united for me in my 7-2 victory over united that I'm going to mention in every post :1980_boogie_down: <laugh>

Yeah and Jack Cork's full name is Jack Frank Porteous Cork but his name is treated like all the other players, ie as "Cork", "J. Cork" etc wherever applicable, but "José Fonte" is always "José Fonte" which strikes me as bizarre. Why is his name treated differently when it isn't in real life?

Because it's a comnon thing among Portuguese players I guess, Cristiano Ronaldo is exactly the same.

Portuguese naming customs mean it's commonplace for people to be referred to by nicknames, hence why there aren't many players who use their full name as their common name, so to speak.

I think I'll try out the demo when it comes out. Looks good judging by what you lot are saying on here.

I know but he does, he wears only his surname on his shirt, and FM treats him weirdly. Same goes for Ronaldo incidentally.

I also remember once upon a time when Phil Babb played in Portugal and he had the same treatment, it's bizarre.

First season nearly finished - And it has been rather odd.., two massive blips with consistant losses.., but managing to finish a good 10/12th!

    Morning lads, just a quickie....

What formation are you using for saints?

Im sitting 12th atm, with lambert on 6 goals and guly on 5 goals. playing a 4-1-2-2-1, fluid attacking sometimes.

I play a fluid attacking formation at home n away.. changing it to balanced when I'm playing the bigger teams.
I go with a 4-2-3-1 tactic with two IF and a AP in support underneath Rodriguez.. he has got me 12 goals in 32 games :)

I finally managed to get results with a very fluid, attacking 4-2-3-1. With this team:

    Boruc
    Clyne - Hinteregger - Hooiveld - Fox
    Schneiderlin - Cork
    S.Davis - Ramirez - Lallana
    Lambert

Subs: K.Davis, Yoshida, Fonte, Bannan, Mackay-Steven, Rodriguez, Mayuka.

Mackay-Steven was a deadline day signing by Nicola for £1.6m, bargain of the window.

Kept Southampton up in a dramatic last day win but got sacked anyway. New game then!
