I think the Pod should be given a sustained chance to play as a CF. The same can be applied to Walcott too. Both those players can provide an alternative to Giroud and a different plan. Maybe play Pod as a CF in the cup games? As it stands, Giroud does a good job as a CF, but a change to Pod/Walcott can give us additional options when we can't break defences. But we really need to get some replacements in, the first being a replacement for Gervinho. As it stands, we are limiting ourselves attacking options which i'm sure Wenger is working on. Gervinho may not have been many peoples cup of tea, but he did give us some additional options.

I'm hoping that Di Maria will be Gervinho's replacement. That would be some scoop if we can get him.

And agree about using Pod / Giroud / Walcott at CF to mix things up if we're struggling to break the oppo defence down.

I accept that these guys are pros, and there are players that can do it, but I don't think in general players respond well to moving around in the formation a lot. I think that usually players perform at their best, if they play a single position though the season.

There are exceptions to most things, but TT's premise is a good one.

Or perhaps you would like to see Santi play in goal now and then?

Agree with that, but I think Pods best position might be in the middle.
