I laughed out loud at Seriously Anal describing Mavidi & Zyro as “acquisitions” today I thought they were both injury crocked loans?
As frustrating as the last few weeks have been, how great is it to have interest in the rest of the season in February. Last season with no realistic playoff push or relegation battle was one of the most boring in my lifetime
Another perennial favourite of Seriously Boring are the players about to return from injury. Rarely a week goes by without Kevin stating that “Pearce will be back for the Oldham / Bury / Rochdale game”. He is at it again today with Mavidi ....stand by the massive upturn in our fortunes because Mavidi could be back in the next two games. What a complete load of spurious bollox - Robinson said he would miss 8 weeks ?
The negative propaganda used to be annoying, but now it has become laughable. Why? Because CARD, VotV and all the other little groups failed to calculate that there was a possibility that we could succeed. SeriouslyRidiculous is now saying we are succeeding, succeeding in what ffs?
Succeeding at getting back to square one. If somehow Karl Robinson achieves more than a minor miracle and engineers a promotion back to the Championship for Charlton via a Wembley play-off Final, the Apologists will claim that Duchatelet's ownership of the Club has been a success. Why? Because we will be in the same league again that we were on the day he bought the Club. The facts that A) attendances at the Valley have crashed to less than 10,000 with absolutely no guarantee that they will rise again to anywhere near where they were in January 2014 (or indeed rise at all) B) Charlton's lower league squad will be gutted even further by the return home of all of our five loanees will mean nothing to Duchatelet's fawning cheerleaders. They will crow and crow about what a wonderful owner he has been, how he has strengthened the Club long term and how he has stood firm against armies of racist hatemongers and mutineers etc. etc... Their frothing ejaculations will be so stomach-turning -- including calls for RD to stay and lead Charlton to new glories -- that having to endure them would make most Charlton fans almost wish we were still in League One simply to be spared such an outburst of nauseating sycophancy. Though I don't think it will happen, I still want Charlton to gain promotion this season because it is now clear that the only chance a buyer might meet RD's ridiculous price is if we are back in the Championship again, even with only half a squad. Another season down in League One now looks like we will be stuck with Duchatelet indefinitely, and probably until one of his family inherits the Club. By then we could be in the fourth Division or even non-league.
The fact is that we are sitting in sixth place by a thin margin with tricky games coming up. Some are still running with a distorted narrative that "RD is destroying the club". Will they continue this on Wembley Way in a few months time?! What a f****** w*****, the Belgian prick could fold us and SeriouslyRidiculous would still think all is well.
I for one won't be saying anything on Wembley Way any time soon. Firstly Charlton are almost certainly not going to get as far as the League One Play-Off final. Secondly even if they did I wouldn't go, unless we have a new owner by then. The dozen or so Apologists will feel right at home among twenty thousand plastic Addicks who haven't been to a Charlton game since we were in the Premiership, and don't even know who our manager is.
Here we go ....Seriously Soporific & his deluded take on today’s game. (Love the bit about the attendance )
He just isn't that bothered that we are not going to be promoted this season. For an intelligent person he makes the shockingly dumb mistake of assuming that because Charlton have made 'progress' this season and might finish in 6th or 7th place instead of 13th, we will automatically continue to make progress again next season in League One. Are we going to buy Ben Amos then? Are Chelsea going to loan us Jay Dasilva for a third straight season? Are we going to secure substantially better loanees from other teams than Zyro and Kaikai? Are Charlton going to strengthen their first team squad at all? Next season it is looking quite likely that Sunderland and perhaps Hull City will be in League One. Are Charlton going to suddenly become strong enough to mix it with teams like that - when we cannot compete with Rotherham and Shrewsbury now? Better this season does not mean we will be better again next season. Look at the state the Club is in after just a few weeks of RD's farcical attempts to get his money back. If we have to put up with all this crap again right though next season Charlton will likely be progressing to League Two.
Seriously is a dick, pure and simple. Ever since he has started posting on Charlton forums, every post has been a repeat of the previous one. He knows as much about football as I do about knitting. It is like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest on ITTV.
He does not talk about the performances. He just trots out ridiculous stats. An absolute classic regards 17,500 being there yesterday. It'll be back down to 9,000 for the next game, he'll have to go some to support the case for a drop in 8,000. Total cock.
Watching Seriously Freeloading’s very tedious speech at Woolwich Town Hall again makes you wonder - he went there to represent the ITTV forum (barely a ripple of recognition in the audience ) which he posts on “occasionally”. He then went on to produce a very feeble denunciation of Duchatelet on behalf of ITTV. Apart from being bought off by free tickets, what changed ? #noprinciples
With Kevin joining Sue Parkes & Paul May in the Scoungers Lounge on Saturday ...do you think he chatted with Richard about Sqwarka and how many shots off target we’ve hand this season ?
Do we know any posters on ITTV who could challenge Seriously Freeloading about his tickets ? He seems reticent to mention it ?
