the cold, hard truth Allam would be gone by then, a distant memory New owners would re-instate Hull City again
No you must be right. A successful club, good players and attractive football is actually a recipe for lower attendances!! ...Well either that or the fact that Hull is an unemployment black-spot and football has become an unaffordable luxury for many. Unfortunately lack of money is the key factor really affecting attendances, but a successful Premier League team won't go unwatched for long. Call them plastics if you want, but others will eventually fill the gaps left if the product is good.
I think the fans have played their part this season when it comes to finances! The club have increased the passes by 30% and we've still sold roughly the same amount! ( someone will know the true figure ) so where has that extra income gone? I thought this rise was because he had failed with his tigers **** and was hitting the fans for the lost revenue?
It does, it relates to the fact that we didn't lose revenue which left a shortfall which required a 30% increase in prices, more that he decided to punish the fans for not backing his plans
Allam claims we lost £1m from the failed sponsorship deal, I suspect it's a figment of his imagination, but that's the revenue he claims he's lost.
Im putting over the point that AA wanted to change the name to increase revenue! This didn't happen so he put the passes up by 30% but he also got a lucrative shirt sponsor in 12bet! So what else does he want? Does he really think hull tigers would bring in a lot bigger deal? Or as this become more of a face saving crusade?
Surely away support would be massive as you'd still support the football club and it's players, you just wouldn't support the ownership. Honestly, I feel so lucky that we were able to find the owners that we did. I couldn't be doing with any of this ****e.
In general no, those shouting & thinking AA was a twat & a **** for sacking Barmby have since forgiven him as we're now in the Premier League. Evidence can be presented if necessary. Some were even aghast at the thought of the dictator presenting Steve Bruce as manager. "Steve Bruce? Id sooner have Robert the Bruce" was a classic. To a certain kind, the Premier League is all that matters.
those shouting & thinking AA was a t**t & a c**t for saying name change have since forgiven him as we're now in the Premier League chasing top 4 ...........
... same with the name when we win the Club World Cup (or whatever its called) when we beat Barcelona 4 nil!
Let's say (for arguments sake) that the FA agree to the name change. (Yes it won't happen but let's say that they do). I will continue to go as will most of you lot. I would continue to shout "Come on City" despite the scoreboard showing Hull Tigers. Most importantly I will continue to get behind the team I support. I don't care what the media would have to call us. Most of them don't call us City anyway. They just call us Hull. (or on Sky Sports when we are are live it is just HUL) If it doesn't bring in extra revenue, so what? It was revenue we didn't have anyway, and now Allam (or new owners) will have to pursue another idea. Now.... we all know the FA won't overturn their decision.... so what is the f**ing point of going on about it every single day from here until the end of November?
