Well assuming everyone is fit Hart Richards lescott jones cole Ox Parker Wiltshire Young Rooney Sturridge Subs Ruddy Smalling Walker Gerrard Graham
Not a million miles off, I'd be pleased if that line up got the nod. I'd prefer Welbeck to Rooney fit or not. Walcott and Lampard are looking sharp so I'd swap them in for Ox and Wiltshire and I'd go Adam Johnson over Young...
Cheers! It's what loads of people have said for ages, most of the senior staff at the FA have been directors of football who have been at massive clubs or accountants in Brian Barwicks case! Then they just throw in some county level FA old boys to represent 'The working man' in reality I bet they have no word on what happens. Running a national football team requires working with the resources you already have England can't go and buy Lionel Messi, at the same time you need to keep the domestic clubs happy, the commercial side with the sponsors, all whilst running football at the grass roots level for the average person in the park right the way through to hopefully developing the next generation of footballers. In my opinion it needs to be more regimented a chief executive is going to know next to nothing about running a football academy, but they seem to think their experts in everything and that annoys me.
Hart Richards Lescott Jones Cole Ox Parker Wilshire Gerrard Johnson Rooney Am I the only one who doesn't get the infatuation with Danny Wellbeck? I'd wager Simeon Jackson would have scored as many as he has for United with the quality of delivery available to him.
Was just thinking that Sid, why has he started on his own, am I the only one who thinks this team is just strange
Am I the only one who finds the England supporters 'band' bloody annoying? They only play three or four songs and usually do it just as the rest of the crowd get going and kill the atmosphere
Tweet from Rio Ferdinand summing up precisely why the national team is struggling: "We were coasting then....2 quick sucker punch goals against us...that's how it can be at this level...feel your coasting along then...bang." We weren't coasting. We we being allowed to play by a Dutch side that was coasting. They stepped it up a gear after half time and scored two very good goals.
I hate the way people say coasting about a football team as if it's a good thing. Would lambo let a team coast?
And now we have a thoroughly undeserved draw and everyone will say what a great spirit Pearce has instilled into the squad :edit: apparently we won't get that draw
