Well, apart from two paragraphs, I've done none of the above. But as no-ones posted anything I hope I win. I even posted a song to play at the same time.

I’m in my car. And as I become conscious, the blue flashes blind my eyes. There’s people all around trying to make me feel comfortable. I’m told to keep calm and that I’ll be out soon. I hear machinery squealing and people shouting. I sense activity everywhere. But I don’t feel any pain. I feel happiness in my veins, in every cell of my body. I want them to let me go. I’m ready to go. Finally, quietly and with the rushes sweeping my being, I slip away…

Now I see the faces of people I used to know. People long passed before me. I talk to them. But I wonder why they’re talking back to me. And I realise I’ve done this all before, in my dreams. Because in my dreams I could see anyone again, people who are long gone or far away. In my dreams I was everywhere I wanted to be, seeing everyone I wanted to see. So, I think to myself, despite what I was supposed to believe, I now know we don’t all stay together forever. We’re each in our little pocket of dreams. And everyone we want to be there are there. And whoever I’m talking to now is not really talking to me, but is in their own dream, talking to someone they love too. So maybe they are talking to me after all. And now, I'm happy.
Well done. We have a winner. A candlelit meal at Brady's flat awaits you. Enjoy. <ok>

Brian Eno, what the **** does he know? Doodling away with a ****ing alien haircut mate.

200 years from now the small number (few hundred million) of people left on the planet will connect to each other via a neural network that will make the internet seem like communicating via telegram.
How will it work? Virtual reality will work by first monitoring the brain activity of people in response to various sensations, once recorded the brain will be stimulated in these same areas at the appropriate times (ie when an orange is on screen or whatever).
It is true that scientists have developed neural networks amongst primates that actually turn out to be more intelligent than any individual ape. Non workers will be required to donate time each day (they will ultimately operate robots via the neural network) in return for sustenance.
There will be few jobs, your brain-power will be monetised.

Obviously this is my science fiction story.

I see Bri is at Hull University this Wed giving a talk in the Middleton Hall.

Sold out like

I know. Found out way too late though.

Might see if any of the blank franks have any spare if time permits a window.

Said in a nasal like tone from a bloke about five feet seven tall. He answered to the name Brian.

"Eh, you lot. Get your medals, all yer caps, and all yer tin-cups and put them in that ****ing bin over there, because you all cheated."

Brian Clough to Billy Bremner, Johnny Giles etc...etc...on his first day at training at Leeds United.

The title is: Ambient Music, Fine Art, and Technology: a guest talk from Brian Eno. Middleton Hall 18.00 to 20.00. .
There’s also a 'free event open to all' from 4pm to 5pm at the Middleton Hall, about the music of Hull’s Basil Kirchin, featuring a documentary screening followed by a short discussion ‘led by Professor Alastair Borthwick and Brian Eno'.

Jib in for the Kircho event ?

This is gonna sound kind of crazy I know, but some of us squares are still working between 4 and 5 rather than lounging on some faraway beach doing **** all.
