Seeing that Swindon shirt reminded me of the day our Luke Rooney signed for Di Canio, seeing him parading in that red shirt made me want to throw up. You can go anywhere but to go to your rivals is like a kick in the balls, just no pride in the badge anymore.
No Supcon, I watched the game and those stats really do tell lies... for all the possession they had of the ball it was worthless, they didn't look like scoring really at any point, very quiet day for the Preston keeper.. Beckford should have had another really, one on one with the keeper and missed it.. (would like him at ours though!) Swindon were totally outplayed and dominated with 'on the break' football.
The stats don't show how Swindon could not deal with Preston's intensity and direct approach. It was not pretty but at times the three up top swept Swindon aside.
I know you don't rate Kilkenny but he's made the difference in the last two games, anyway are you disappointed we only scored 4 against them, anyway good to resume rivalry again next season at your refurnished ground, look forward to good friendly banter next season, all of you have a good summer and back for fun next August. Swindon were utterly dire in the first half, but in the second they dominated possession in midfield but without penetrating. I think Prestons keeper was forced into making 2 reasonable saves in the entire game. Even when 3-0 down they still tried to play the tippy tappy stuff that looks good when it comes off but frankly they should have reverted to route 1 and at least tried to force a goal. Arsenal have the ability to walk the ball through a defence and into the goal, whereas Swindon do not.
I've just seen on twitter from a Swindon media person that there is one player we want but Swindon are reluctant to sell to us...
