I always want city to win but if we don't so what I don't mind what league we are in either For me the Allams do not give a **** about Hull City or Hull City supporters So I got it into my head why should I bother going to games and spending £50 approx every home game and more for away games. With it being a big effort for me for various reasons when the ALLAM DO NOT GIVE A **** about supporters. And to my surprise I am loving watching Scarborough .
There is obviously 2 set of fan base, those that have only seen the EPL/Upper Championship seasons and those of us who have been through the thin times. I think what angers me most, is what we have today is totally unnecessary, if the Allams had had a modicum of common sense, we would have been where Burnley/Stoke etc are. For all the money that has come in under the Allams watch, we still have a ****e training facility, the academy which is the one area they can take a little bit of credit for, is at a rented location, and a team now that is no better than an upper Div one/lower championship side. What a legacy eh! One of the best run clubs in county GTF.
The frustrating thing is the correlation between fans' support of the club and the Allams success. So it's a catch 22, keep supporting the club just plays right into their hands. I'm done with them, I will do what I can do to help them out the door.
The promotions, the survivals, the cup runs, the european qualification... i look back and I just can't help but feel that these stupid Allams, did not try hard enough to sell "high" and allow the club to progress while it was on a good run of form, with lots of potential opportunities on and off the field... and I certainly don't want them hanging around another 10 years in the hope we go back up... so if cutting their losses is the way to push them out so be it. They could have sold us "high", if they really wanted to, don't give me that bullshit... they would have made a profit, new owners would have had a club in the prem, with some decent squad members etc... and potentially started turning the club into stoke/burnley/leicester/watford who were all at one point very much on par with us and our "rivals".. but noooo, they got greedy, essentially took a huge chance and that gamble has impacted all the fans so I certainly want them now to feel the impact themselves in their ****ing wallets. and as harsh as the title of this thread is, please explain to me how to achieve that impact, when they've just been ****ing leeching for years now, with no sign of leaving whatsoever when things are in their favour, so I don't really see an alternative.
We didn't qualify for the Europa League. We qualified for the qualifiers. And lost. I'm still smarting from that.
John. This best run club is the one that ****s me off ( off down to the harbour now !) what are they measuring this against. Surely one of the top criteria is to win a few spunking games !
Profitability. The Swiss Ramble analysis showed us as the 4th most profitable in the PL last year after ManU Arsenal and Spurs... Ehab said the same interview as the one he claimed we were one of the best run clubs in the country that we'd been able to sell players high and buy cheap... He's a fool. More dangerous he thinks he's a genius.
