Let’s just hope the folks under the new football structure know what they are really doing. I like the Idea of Toney, but I’m not sure why we are buying this new striker that barely scored in Italy and where that puts Hojlund.

It puts Hojlund in the same place as Haaland when Alavarez plays for City.

I really don't know why ETH is being so publicly critical of last night's game against Rosenburg. They are midway through their season (they had a goal difference of +54 last season) and our lads have only been back in training for a week or so. Rather than slagging them of, I would rather he said something like - 'it's early in pre-season, everyone's rusty but it's good to get some of the youngsters in the squad out there and get some game time on tour.'

I don't know if ETH thinks he's got to be on it from the first match but he might need to modify his approach a little or risk upsetting a few big egos. (Again)

I can't claim to know much about him, but if Real Madrid and PSG (and Liverpool) were after him, he must be a talent.

Get De Ligt in as well, and the defence looks really promising and also experienced. De Ligt has played at the top of the game in Holland, Italy and Germany.

Realistically, we only then need Ugarte and that's a very good window.

Never heard of him until this window. But his attributes look decent in that YouTube video. Certainly has to be an upgrade to what we have right now. Tall, makes tackles, good vision, and quick!

I’m only catching up on that game. The game itself was such a nonevent. This is not the type of team building critic before the season starts. With that kind of attitude, it sounds like he’s already playing the excuses and blame game.

I personally don’t see him lasting long. The new football structure at the club allows for swift action on him if the season goes sideways within the first five to eight games.

Promising 2-0 result against Rangers. Yoro impressed as did, wait for it ................Sancho AND Mount, good interplay and sharp movement especially from Sancho, but mostly in areas of the pitch where we would expect Bruno and Garnacho to play. Sancho looks like a definite upgrade on Antoni should things pan out that way..Amad was excellent down the right side also, so we appear to have good strength in depth at the start of the campaign. Sterner tests to come in the US, but Casemiro seems to have benefitted from the off season and there are plenty of keen and able academy youngsters snapping at everyone's heels

Anyone know what's going on with Diallo?
The manager said he had a very good game today and scored but couldn't play on Monday because "he isn't allowed into Norway".
What the **** has he done to be banned from there?

. On Monday he couldn’t play, he was not allowed to go into Norway, but today he could play and he played a very good game.”

Here we go again, the injuries are already mounting with Yoro out until October and Hojlund side-lined with a hamstring injury for six weeks or so. Any more in the treatment room and we'll be ****ed before the season even starts.
