Christian, I still see CR left right and center in that post. We have had major problems since the turn of 2021 when we gave up leading position in the league to City without a drop of sweat. That was eight months before Ronaldo rejoined. We then threw kitchen sink at the problem in the summer with three major signings… Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo. But with the fked culture that accepts mediocrity with number of horrible apples amplifying it, lack of decent coaching and lack of leadership on the field, there was never going to be fix without a purge of personnel and rebuild to the culture.

Evidence of the team’s performance prior to CR demonstrates that he is not the problem. For instance, since Ronaldo rejoined, we have yet to win a game when he’s not playing. Go figure!

I dare say that we would be closer to relegation fight this season if he hadn’t come in the summer.

Absolutely horrified buy press reports today that we might be considering offering Pogba a £400/500k per week contract. He is toxic enough already without such an obscene pay packet causing further unrest in the dressing room. I do hope this proves to be nothing more than paper talk.

It would appear that the club have appointed the architects behind the new Spurs stadium to draw up proposals for the redevelopment of OT

It does seem one or two things are going right, for once.

I'm up at OT for the Norwich game Saturday. Call me old fashioned but I'd still like it to remain where it is. Although know getting a half decent beer will be nigh on impossible.

Be interesting what plans there are when they come out.

The club offering even more money than anyone will ever offer. That sounds very familiar with contracts for managers and coaches too. The club has no idea about the value of players to other clubs and what they should be paying them. Paying 400-500 is insane.

The offer that we put on the table in January is said to be greater than the offers thought to have been tabled by other clubs - the huge difference is that if he joins another team he will get a massive signing on bonus. As if that isn't enough to show how twisted this game has become, I read that PSG are prepared to offer Mbappe a signing on fee of £100m - FFS he's already their player, how on earth does that play out under the financial rules ...........oh wait I forgot, it's oil money, that's different

The thing I liked about Fergie is he knew no player was indispensable.

We seem to have a real problem understanding that there ARE better players out there. The idea we can't do better than Pogba is such a cowardly approach.

I've heard Ten Hag has a knack of transforming previously out of favour players. If Pogba stays I hope to fck that's true... bcos I honestly believe the dressing room will continue to remain poisonous the longer he's there.

I get annoyed at the thought that some prima donna on 400k per month could keep out hungry young lads on 80k a month who want to play for the club, who want to make a name for themselves.

No way in that dude should be anywhere near the club next season. If Pogba stays, it would tell me that Arnold is Woodward with a different surname. Meaning, we are going to be fked for a little longer than expected. But hopefully the contract was offered as post of Woodward’s operation as opposed to Arnold’s.

Ten Haag has apparently said that CR can leave this summer. This is not a surprise to anyone as to build a team you need hungry and dynamic players who can do both creative as well as “destructive “ or defensive work.

Lots of speculation about Utd pushing hard for Rudiger. I am not so sure we should go for him. I find that players who have given a lot for their previous club tend to be disappointing for their next. Players like John Terry or Steven Gerard or Roy Keane. Can you imagine them being as driven for another club?

Ronaldo not hungry with his illustrious career filled with winner's medals <laugh>

If Ten Haag has said Ronaldo can leave it's probably more down to TH's own plans for the future of the squad.

That’s what I meant. I didn’t mean that CR is not hungry but there is only so much a 37 year old who’s seen done and won it all can do It’s about building a team with youngsters who are looking ahead to the future.

We need to go back to basics and build with players of the right age. Ronaldo shouldn’t be that player that we build around. I would love for him to stay but he shouldn’t be an automatic starter. But CR won’t take a bit part position.

On Rudiger; I agree that he’s clearly looking for a last good contract otherwise why not just stay at Chelsea if he cares about football first? This shouldn’t appeal to us. We need hungry players first and foremost.

As far as I'm concerned they should play the U23's as our first team for the remaining fixtures of the season with the existing first team watching on. The results can't get any worse and, who knows, we might even string some results together.

This isn't a dig but it's imperative for players to be playing CL Football given the WC this year. I'd be amazed if any player with aspirations to play in it risked a sideways or downward move.

I'm all for that. My only concern is it might taint them with the ****show of a season we've had and they get grief for any remaining fixtures.

I've said this before, but no CL footie next season could be a blessing in disguise as the manager won't be under pressure to play the players he's expected to, in order to compete in the group games, meaning he can give some of the U23's a chance.
