I agree Maguire is ****e but a lack of finishing of the multiple chances and attacking situations we created is the issue, not the occasional defensive mistake.

We should have scored more than one. Like we should have done v Boro.

Priority is a centre forward and Declan Rice. Those two first, then look at bolstering defence and get rid of Maguire.

 

It's a combination of all of those imo.

We came out second half and once again a bit of pressure by Burnley cut through our midfield time and time again. That requires a Declan Rice. I didn't think McTominay was particularly good throughout the game. There were also at least 3 occasions when Maguire was found wanting and could've lost us the game.

 

Thinking about it, got to assume that Pogba will leave, so I think we need Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham (who we decided not to pursue before he went to Dortmund, so would now be £70+).

McTominay not really good enough, forget him as a viable option as he just won't take that extra step.

We then need a striker, probably even two given the age of Ronaldo and Cavani. Should have signed Alvarez but, again, that's just typically United. No idea who instead mind, we won't get Haaland.


No way they'd buy a centre half after that.

And, quite rightly considering the list of players we have in that position. Drop Maguire by all means, but the manager needs to play Jones, Lindelof, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Mengi (also Wan Bisakka and McTominay could be coached to play centre half) alongside Varane instead, and make it work.

 

I actually put that fker in my fantasy team last week because he’s cheap. He got me a mighty 1 point! Sad that he didn’t get him on a cheap.

How the hell is he even the club captain? He needs to be stripped of that honour. Give it to De Gea or Bruno.

 

One of the things not discussed so far is the lack of goals from corners. It used to be the delivery but recently the deliveries have been decent. Ball whipped in, into the right area but fck all comes of them.

Is it the way we're set up in the box? Lack of much thought going into it on the practice pitch - it seems we've been focusing on the ones played out to the edge of the area for someone to shoot. Or is it we lack the personnel to get their head on the end of a ball in? Even just to knock it on.

 

Slabhead normally good at scoring headers or is for England and used to for Leicester

 

The thing is every corner delivered into the box is aimed at Maguire and now defenders crowd him deliberately. Need to aim it in for others also.

 

That was a performance where you can say they were badly coached.

Because, they were.

It was a piss poor performance and the players were all over the place and shapeless. It was equally as bad as anything Ole delivered.

Must improve.

 

They were in such panic state! Running around like headless chicken. We can’t seem to get past one goal. That is absolutely down to the manager and the way that he has continuously setup the team. And if Ronaldo is not producing the goods, can we not bring someone in from the youth setup to at least be on standby? Or perhaps play Rashford in an advance position and put Lingard in the starting lineup. Again, team full of resources but no idea what the hell to do with it. There is no way Rangnick is going to be made a permanent manager.

I trust Arnold is going to be far more proactive and we are already working on a plan that will make the team competitive next season. Write off this season, take lessons from it and build on from there.

well done lads. At least we’ve now recognised that the manager is ****. It’s taken you all only 3-4 weeks after I’ve said it. We are no better than we were with the previous manager last 2 seasons

We really, really should keep a keen eye on Bissouma while we're at it.

He's such a good player, and would be like £70 million minimum cheaper than Rice.

 

I wouldn't pay £100m for Rice. Now that Woodward is gone, I really hope that we are done with those days of senseless spend. Rice is good, but there as equally great and effective players that we can get for far less than chasing whomever the media tells us to chase.

 

Isn't there some dodgy case hanging over Bissouma. I keep hearing rumours but not bothered to read about it. Could end up being a problem.
