We played some decent football tonight (SOME), we are really missing Tony Martial's finishing though, get him and/or Cavani on the pitch and we should be ok.

I thought so too, I think we created plenty and played some good football.

My only gripe is against a less than formidable oppo such as Newcastle I think we overplayed it at times instead of keeping it simple and opening them up. Sometimes the casual flick and chips just fck me off tbh. Leave that ****e out, just give and go, play the triangles and plenty of movement/runners off the ball thanks!

The last 15 mins Bissaka was out on the right all on his own whilst Bruno, Donny, Pogba, Mata and Rashford kept everything to the left. I was screaming get the ball to Bissaka and the one time they did he scored <laugh>

Again as soon as VDB came on, the attack was transformed. What the **** is happening? He clearly deserves to start ahead of James or Mata (as good as he was yesterday) . Why spend £40m to leave him on the bench? The sooner he starts and get used to the pace of the premiership the better. The contrast with Pogba is stark. Pogba struts himself as a peacock instead a getting himself stuck into the team game like VDB.

Newcastle getting a very early goal paradoxically helped us as this forced the team to attack and forget about playing the cautious game . The attitude of the team changed as there was nothing to lose. We need to start all our games at a fast pace and starting with VDB will help that.

That team selection was largely down to the PSG game on Tuesday. We'll have Matic and Pogba revved up for Tuesday <doh>

Lets at least hope he was saving Donny for that game eh.

Shouldn't you be posting that on the Leeds board? Personally, I think there are 3 worse teams so you should be safe.

I hope that you’re referring to Manchester United here. If you are, how did you arrive at that conclusion of relegation? For a team that wins 2 of every 4 games, that’s somewhat baseless projection.

Even if you are referring to Newcastle, it is still far too early to know how the season ends.

Get off our board if you can't be civil.

I think Leeds win tonight, Bielsa has them playing exciting football, good to watch. Much better manager than Ole the Apprentice.

Define 'substance'. Does it include dragging knuckles? In which case I agree Leeds have plenty of that <cheers>

I think there is some confusion here, Liverpool is the city blessed with an oversupply of knuckle draggers. Although we do have our share, mainly like Gessa who don't support their local team.
