Transfer Rumours Let's ignore the big ****ing elephant and blame the latest manager, again. Are we nearly there yet?

What I don’t get is why after 7 years of drift we haven’t yet appointed a director of football. Surely it is understandable that any current manager would say we don’t need one but the board should have overruled them. We need a DOF and a head coach like all the big clubs. It is like saving a few hundred thousands in order to waste hundreds of millions. Great strategy!

And it is clear that we have regressed since the end of last season. We have the same players and the same defence. Maguire is no longer the leader he was. Has the arrest in Greece affected him? He’d better get himself sorted quickly or our season could be over before it’s even started

Can't argue that the cost if Sancho was waaaaay too much and he simply is not worth the money.

They don't get Kudos for backing away from the transfer though.

They get stick for knuckleheadely pursuing it right to the very last day of the window, instead of just dropping it back in August and looking elsewhere.

    They've looked foolish, nothing else.

    It's amateur.

Going from a club that took pride in keeping its inner workings in-house for decades (nothing was ever played out in the media, except one occasion when Rooney talked about ambition and Fergie shut him up)... to what must now be considered a club that parades as clueless in the media and to other clubs like Dortmund who see the likes of Woodward as cash cows ro be taken advantage of.

Whilst Ole may be out of his depth, what right does Woody have to tell him that things need to improve or else. I find it laughable.

    Very much like Grealish.

Villa valued him at £80m. What a joke that is!

But I agree with Chief that Woodward is a clown for constant pursue of targets that he knows he has no interest opening the coffers for.

Grealish was in a 7-2 winning side in which he was pivotal in midfield. Pogba was in a 6-1 losing side in which he was an utter waste of space.

I would've quite liked Grealish in our midfield instead.

So you would pay £80m for him because he won a game against Liverpool. Come on!

Grealish is looking the real deal, but we got DVB instead. Happy with that, we don't need any more in midfield.

Not sure where £80 million is coming from, did we ever actual approach them or is it just wild press speculation?

Nothing wrong with our midfield and strike force.

We need to sort out our defence and key is the form of Maguire. As long as that is crap we are going to struggle. He needs to snap out of whatever he is currently experiencing or Solskjaer has to bench him. A few weeks out of the fire could restore his form. In any case he doesn’t deserve his place in the team.

BTW when are we going to give VDB a start?

Donny scored during the international week but I bet No. 6 will again start the next match after his horror show in the last ten matches and again reliving his Madrid dreams in the press.

Only a wonderful manager would allow such unthinkable scenario.

I'm sure I read somewhere today that Pogba now wants to play for Barca (now that RM have blanked him) - he'll end up playing for Wolves at this rate

Someone should do a match day thread for tomorrow.

We'll lose, and it will be grim as ****.

    Good Saturday night entertainment.

They can have him for free. I’d rather not see that pig play for the team again.

I thought I'd wait. Can I do one now <laugh>

Or maybe wait for the PSG game on Tuesday night. That should bring us back to Earth again.
