Nowadays it's rare for any signing to come out of the blue for PL Clubs. I can name you pretty much every PL club's interest and bid on players before they sign them.

Secondly, none of this is in isolation for United. We've done this bollox for 10 years. It's hardly unusual behaviour for us is it? It's become text book ffs.

It's fairly obvious what's clickbait and what's credible or likely interest.

There are reputable journo's who receive information on interest shown by clubs and offers put in.

I could go on, but players clubs are in for is largely known in advance.

If we were in for a striker it would be being reported through multiple sources and we'd know about it.

It was widely reported we were in for them before we bid for him. It was reported we'd agreed personal terms before any bid had gone in.

Even if we take what you're saying, my point is that there is no one else who we're bidding on because it would be reported.

If you go back and read what you've said, you're saying we should be stating actual targets to the press, placate supporters who think we're not in for anyone.

They've made actual bids for Mount, and we've clearly shown actual interest in Kane.

I've said all along that it's largely known and reported when genuine interest in a player is being shown by a club.

I've listed half a dozen already relating to other clubs and I doubt anyone would disagree those clubs are going for them.

If we were in for a striker, there would be credible reports of it. We're not, that is all.
