I really hope what he's said about United's response to the usual Levy bollox is true.

He's only screwing over Kane here.

That fkin moron actually believes that he’s got rivals. He still can’t see that his only rival is his own absolute madness.

I like that we went in at £40m for Mount. Yes, it will probably end up being 25% more but at least we are setting the tone that the times of United tax is over.

If the papers are to be believed, we won't bid for Kane. Good.

Hopefully Kane gives Levy a big **** you and stays another season then leaves for nothing next season.

In the meantime, we give Hjolund a go. Maybe also pursue Toney in January window.

Levy is only about the money. With just enough interest in the football side of things to stay relevant. So the cash cow survives.

"Understand Bayern have presented their project to Kim Min-jae this week and the agreement on personal terms is now close," the Italian confirmed. "Kim, tempted by Bayern as talks are now advancing fast. Man United remain interested but it was never done."

Again, can’t close a supposedly closed deal to save our lives.

We really are **** at this.

Always have been since Gill left, and looks like this new lot are just as incompetent as their predecessor Woody.

It’s already a farce! This ownership struggle needs to get resolved for a much needed new chapter at the club. It is really a fkshow at the moment.

This club would have to pay ten times the going rate for a new ball boy - the entire football world knows this, so why are we ****ing about trying to shave five or ten million of players only to pay the asking price five minutes before the window closes. We need to start shifting overpaid, deadwood to free up wages for new players so that ETH can have a decent pre-season.

The fact that they are over paid deadwood might be the stumbling block .

Which is exactly why we should stop overpaying for anyone. It creates insane problems down the line. If clubs think that they can take advantage of us, tell them to F off and get creative with how we find players.

problem atm is the PL is out of step with nearly all the rest of European football as they in the main are skint so offloading "surplus" players to the rest of Europe is tricky .

I don't think we have that many overpriced players. In fact apart from Maguire, I'm struggling to think of anyone we should get rid of whose wages are that high another club wouldn't take them on. Wan Bissaka's on 90k, Telles the same, McTominay about £70k, I think Van De Beek is the most at about £120k, hardly big money.

Our problem is just having too many surplus players and needing to trim the squad.

As I've said before this is how I see it:

Players to get off our books
    Eric Bailly
    Phil Jones
    Alex Telles
Van De Beek (but he's injured so lets see if we can)
    McTominay
    Greenwood
    Henderson

    Others we're selling/releasing:
    Brandon Williams
    Tuanzebe

    Others worth considering:
David De Gea - not really a priority
Either one of Maguire or Lindelof
AWB but only if we're bringing in a replaceent.
    Elanga

We just need to get on with getting rid.

Why would you get rid of Williams, Bissaka or Elanga?

Both defenders are capable of doing decent jobs with Williams having the bonus of playing both sides,
None of the three are on excessivie wages so no real saving there.
Elanga has great potential and is hardly a drain on resources.

When it comes to CBs then Maguire is the biggist drain and in truth Lindelof is probably the better cover of the two by a distance.
Has the odd **** up yes but better at playing the ball out and makes more recoveries (not a great thing to have to make).

I agree that AWB especially has been solid for us under ETH.

Many times, transfer window opens and we automatically start thinking of who is coming in and who is leaving without driving that with a sense of reality that bringing in a new player half the battle. Whether or not they actually fit in the end is entirely unpredictable, especially in the defensive positions. And for forward positions, unless if we go for someone like Kane that already knows the league at a very high level, it is only then that you somewhat reduce that risk of high fee and salary but low impact that we see across many transfers with the top clubs.

My dream last week was that the sale would close and the new owners would go all in for Mbappe to kick things off. Now, that will be a massive impact player. Of course, this is only a dream! lol
