Hmmm............One striker in and one out..... http://kvk.be/nl/aanvallend-geweld-idriss-saadi-tekent-bij-kvk http://insidecardiffcity.co.uk/idriss-saadi-leaves-cardiff-city-loan/
Looks good. Goal to appearance ratio of nearly 1 in 2 with a team nearly relegated. Worth a free transfer for sure. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36683312 http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...st-who-frederic-gounongbe-everything-11554490
Seem to recall glowing you tube videos of Cornelius, Velakonja, Saadi & Guerra ps. Lot of penalties - he surely won't usurp Whittingham as the spot kick first choice (assuming he's playing)
It begs the question of whether these guys were actually signed on the basis of youtube video's. Bearing mind none of them really got any sort of run in the side...you'd have thought any player potentially out of their depth, would have been discarded prior to buying them? Any decent scouting system should (or would) have avoided them being bought in the first place.
Zahore in on 3 year deal. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news...saadi-k.v.-kortrijk-cardiff-city-3163897.aspx
Hmmmm, not sure about that. He didn't set the world on fire last season and for a big guy his heading ability was non-existent. We now have 2 big guys who play up front. Does that mean we will adopt a more direct style? If so then much more pace needed in midfield and out wide. Could also pave the way for ALF to stay playing off a big guy. Time will tell. Macheda gone yet?
Oshilaja gone on season loan to Gillingham. Should Manga be sold we will be a little thin at the back although we were rumoured to be interested in Kyle McFadzean from MK Dons a week ago.
Mixed views on Zahore. On the one side he has strength, power and will get better. Plus every time he was on the field, he got a chance or 2. Think of Leeds at home! On the other, he lacks that finishing ability. Maybe with some more game time, he will put away those chances. Now Wales are home, so will Trollop, and hopefully we will get the extra 3-4 players, especially central & wide midfield, to finalise the squad
Zahore showed promise. I'm happy we've signed him. As Nin mentions he always seems to get a chance, that's a really good thing and he's the sort of striker that could score on a consistent basis if he gets a run in the side and some confidence. At least we're signing players, I doubt we'll see another 4 unless there are a couple of significant outs.
I recall someone saying exactly the same thing about Macheda....... Seriously though, from the little we saw of him last season, he does need to get up to speed with the game over here. Odense may be a very nice club and compete in the Danish Supaliga but it has nowhere near the intensity of a Championship season. For whatever reason, chances do come his way though and if he could add a little more pace in his game he could be a real asset.
Hopefully Zahore isn't a permanent sick note with a motivation problem. Macheda had/has the ability, he's totally wasted it
Trollop will be home soon which is needed to enable him to get into his real job, managing the City. I fully expect some more additions to the squad, especially in midfield
ALF left to train with Development Squad while first team travel to training camp. Clearly not part of plans so needs to find new club ASAP.
Really hope there's nothing in this. http://insidecardiffcity.co.uk/bluebirds-key-man-linked-move-away/
