I am hoping we can produce the same result as we did against Stoke in 1984 when we beat them six nil at home. I think a result like that would give us the momentum and belief that is needed to push till the end of the season, it would also scare the hell out of the teams around us. I still believe... Come on you R'sssssss
I like it. That's a great post. It would certainly make things interesting if the team could all play to their potential and everything suddenly clicked.
Let's see, 1984, George Orwell. Just googled the books he wrote; they include The road to Wigan pier (1-1), Down and Out in Paris and London (2 wins so far in London), Such Such were the Joys (in 1984 presumably), and Facing Unpleasant Facts ( not too early is it?). Strangely enough I feel pretty confident about tomorrow and happen to think that we're not dead yet.
Hope everyone gives everything this afernoon, so many seem to think we are already down, but we aren't. With a 100% performance from the players and support and we can beat Stoke, and then move on to the next one.
