Let's face it..... we ARE good enough to finish in the top 6, and perhaps the top 4. That's what I think.

We'll see in May whether we're good enough, but at the PRESENT we ARE 3 points of FOURTH.. and we ARE disappointed to be ONLY 3 points off FOURTH. We've had a blip okay, but naturally we always have better second half of seasons, where as Spurs and Arsenal always seem to dip in form. The answer to whether we're good enough now? Their isn't one. Newcastle were in the top for 4 for about of a quarter of the season. Are Arsenal and Chelsea playing better football at the moment, or are they defending better at the moment? No they aren't! We're only half way through the season people! AND we still have the January transfer window to go where their is a strong possibility that we'll spend.
Their was a thread earlier on in the season about a point average every 4 games. It had to be be like 8 points every 4 games, are we capable of doing that? Of course we bloody are.
Our home form has let us down, our finishing has been wasteful. But thankfully for us their are worse areas in our club that we could be failing at. We could be leaking goals, or not creating chances..
After 2 disappointing home draws it's hard to be optimistic I know, but I will back us to get fourth until it's mathematically impossible! The way some fans are talking on here is like we're under Roy Hodgson and floating around the relegation zone with Poulson and Konchesky both in our first team!
Take your mind back 1 year exactly.. Sometimes we forget how far as a club we've actually come. And let's not forget we are a team in transition and entering a new era with a whole new look team. We have a fantastic academy with A LOT of bright prospects pushing for a future first team place, our first team has a very young core to it as well which might be the main cause to some of our slack finishing. INEXPERIENCE.
I for one am very excited for our future, and THIS season. We have a CC semi-final to look forward to and a long Premiership scrap to look forward to!

good enough for top 4 considering arsenals and chleseas form, not making excuses but pretty much most people would say we have been unlucky, 6 drawn home matches and certainly 1 away (wigan) where we outplayed the opposition and had a ridiculous amount of shots on target. thats 14 dropped points ! im not saying we have a right to all those points but even if a couple of those goals had gone in /not hit the woodwork or we put away the pens & not scored own goals etc we´d certainly have at least 4/5 more points which would put us in 4th. so yes we are good enough thank you.
