been embracing the championship since we got promoted to the prem in all honesty. I go to watch QPR not the opposition, so who we play is of no consequence. The prem is for those who tend to drool over the opposition, and probably stand outside SAR, autograph book in hand!! The Champs and below is about proper fans with hardly any tourists around. Bring it on!
The Championship will be a tough competative league next season with some decent sides, there will be 3 from Norwich, Ipswich, Boro or Brentford, Derby, Forest, Wolves, Burnley, Us , one of Hull, Sunderland, Newcastle or Leicester, Bristol City. Sure the standard of football may not be as good as the Premier League, but then there has been some dross played in that division this season, most of it involving us, anyone think the home game against Palace for example was a shining light of quality? I must admit I don't have a problem with us being in the Championship, it's where we deserve to be after this seasons effort, lets hope that this is the start of when the club begins to get things right both on and off the pitch.
We've already established that you would be happy watching two pigs rolling around in **** on a freezing Monday night in Goole as long as one of them was wearing a QPR shirt.
What we played against Palace was better than what we played in the entirety of last season mate. In fact, our very first game against Hull was our best performance since our last season in the Prem. That's no coincidence. The higher the level the more time you have to play a bit of football. It also brings out the best in your own players because they're stretched further. I hope you're prepared for the locals to not even know who your team is anymore Tramo
Nah the Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea "fans" around here already take the p1ss out of us so nothing will change.........
Too right......I'm a QPR fan, whatever division we are in. Don't give two hoots who we are playing. I get the impression you might just be a fair weather QPR fan...only really interested if QPR are in the prem and knocking one out over playing the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool etc etc. and buying one of those half and half scarves!
Oh great, an 'I'm a better supporter than you' argument. Of course you are Marine Boy, if that makes you feel good. Ask TerryB and Beth about my collection of half and half scarves. My favourite is the Chelsea one.
Ah Now that is something Terry and I will be looking out for .....new Halfnhalf scarves. I think I might be getting myself a Rotherham QPR scarf.
Wembley was a fantastic day and experience so nothing can change that. I really don't care which league we play in I'll still go to games. I do get a little tired of all the hype around the Premier league, as each season passes it seems to be more and more about money rather than football. So if we're relegated to the Conference because of a breach of the FFP rules then bring it on, I wouldn't mind one little bit.
I can never accept that Wembley was "a waste of time". That day gave me and my two Sons one of the best football days ever together. It's always fantastic to win a final at Wembley!
I dislike them intensely, but not as much as Terry who gets into arguments with the people who sell them before games. The rest of us on the way from the pub with him, pretend we don't him. After long discussion the only justification was for those weird friendlies against obscure or huge foreign teams.
What's wrong with half&half scarves? I've got a load of them under my bed. I actually bought 4 of the QPR - Celtic ones at a preseason friendly
