If the manager doesn't rate you, you know as well as I do that it ain't going to happen. Brett Pitman should be ample example of that, a bad trainer and a lazy slob (allegedly) and not the sort of player we want here and other than perhaps for a short period, you can't make a player better than he actually is... But you and Redprintt carry on taking the piss, I bet that if DM survives this season, things will be very different here next year...
I'm not taking the piss I just have a different opinion of DM than you do.. Even if DM does survive this season and we stay up i'd still want him out ASAP.. i'm getting bored of relegation battles.
'carry on taking the piss' - Our comments ? - FFS, It's your comments that take the piss ! 'things will be very different here next year...' You can say that again.
Ok, I will - things will be very different with a squad all working together, signed by the same manager and all pulling in the same direction...
I would hope the manager not a fan would stress the importance of team work, closing down , pressing, winning 1-2-1's and the defensive team shape which has been drilled relentlessly into a squad costing double that of millwall and three times more than barnsley including nine permanent Mcinnes signings and numerous loans. Remind them that people make sacrifices to watch them, that they are lucky to be pro football players, and that they are miles better than they have shown this season and if they do their utmost they will get supported by fans at ashton gate including young kids who one day hope to be like them. That sort of thing to coaxe out a bit more than the suspect efforts we have seen too often which has seen players obviously not running back to defend the goal barely or not all cloing the ball down, showing no apetite to close down that sketch home and away killing off the away support and atmosphere around the club.
They can do these things Lions, we have all seen it - they have chosen not to on more occasions than not however as I said elsewhere, I think that they will come a cropper as I believe that SL has drawn a line in the sand and said that the manager stays in charge. Some thought he would be gone now whereas in fact, it will be them that are exited and frankly, good riddance to any player with this attitude. DM will perform miles better with his own men rather than this inherited mishmash...
