8 players / staff testing positive in a week is merely a fact. Talk of a ‘falling rate’ is utter nonsense as there’s not enough data to make a meaningful comparison. The rate that matters in the national rate anyway.

So much for not being arsed if you’re just handed the trophy, this is embarrassing tbh.

Kopites want it, as despite their utterances to the contrary they don’t want to be the * champions. So the games must be played out. Watch their position on this shift, if we do get back to playing and when they’re mathematically over the line btw.

As always Libby, your honesty if refreshing. As we're coming out of a quarter century wilderness of being mediocre, to become a nailed on challenger for trophies each season, you'll forgive my honesty in return that I have a completely vested interest in a different outcome. :emoticon-0108-speec

I've thought that before. We return and the win two matches. 4 of their players then come down with the virus and plastro would be on here saying it must be ended.

It's not just Liverpool fans tbf. And I'm fed up of this bollocks being spouted about how it's for the 'morale of the country'.

    * People's Champions.

And backatcha - Null and Voiders want it as despite their utterances to the contrary they don't want Liverpool to not be * Champions.

You'll still get the title mate, and doubt you'd be one of the clubs to go, whereas there's a good chance we would.

Leaving our personal allegiances aside for a second though, do you honestly think the game is in a good state these days? Or is it so far removed from what it was that it's barely the same game anymore?

Wrong. I don’t give a ****, you’re going to be handed the trophy anyway, irrelevant of if the games are played out or not.

No. The only good thing Sky and the Prem did for football was outlaw the back pass (Tobes will appreciate the irony on that one). I don't mind footballers getting mega rich - I ****ing do mind the likes of the Glazers taking over an institution and creaming off billions (though not in a footballing sense - United still achieved what they did and do with a ****ing enormous anchor attached to them, thankfully) and shysters likes Hicks and Gillette trying the same with us. And ****ing Mike Ashley.

If football melted down to clubs being run by fan buyouts - ****ing Shangri-La imo, even if we are on the cusp of an era under the present regime. Some good may indeed come.

Well you know I personally have said that I don't give a **** if we're given the title with an asterisk, especially not with a ****ing 25 point lead in March.

What if two or three of your most important BAME( Salah, Mane, Firminio, Arnold etc) player became ill from the virus, would you still want to continue regardless because winning the title is more important than any cost of life
Virtually everyone just wants to give you the title rather than put more lives at risk

I'm simply saying the positive testing rates at the moment are negligible compared to key workers, but they're obviously not the absolute zero that some on here seem to be calling for. All I am asking is if it needs to zero before football can re-start again, or is that just the standard for finishing off this season? If it was zero and we kicked off with a new season in, say, October, and by next March if it looked liked Liverpool were romping it again and there was one isolated case in a Prem player, would we have to null and void the season again, or would that only apply to Liverpool?

i full expect a whole swathe of clubs to go into administration or go to the wall altogether right up to the championship level and possibly even some PL clubs . I have thought for years trying to have well over 100 fully professional clubs was madness and this is going to force a reappraisal of the structures of football .

    Of course not
The issue for the bottom six clubs is that if key players are missing because of COVID 19 is it fair to play vital games with a reduced squad when so much is at stake
I don't really agree with points per game either as that would be unfair to Villa even tho my team would be safe which ever version is used
Liverpool have won the title regardless of what happens

I get Deeney’s concern. He should retire.
