Yeah as rescheduling games due to TV and weather has complete equivalence with a suggestion to shorten the actual length of the game.

 

Many changes are being considered. I prefer the one that allows 2 extra subs but only at half time. People will then discuss them and decide which to implement. Voiders will use any excuse to lose their heads though.

Changing the actual rules of the game when the season is 3/4’s complete is ridiculous. Whether that be subs used, lengths of halves etc.

Stop trying to dick about with a season that’s already dead and start planning for a Sept restart for the new season.

When with strict social distancing it might be possible to have limited numbers of fans back inside grounds.

Irrespective, just stop the farce of neutral venues, shortened games, more subs, masks, and whatever next level bullshit they’re going to try and fly, merely to finish as season that’s already dead to most.

 

How many jobs/clubs do you think will go under following your policy of "do absolutely nothing until September and hope it's fine by then"?

It’s the lower league clubs who are truly in the ****e, as they rely on matchday revenue, and they won’t be getting any for behind closed doors games.

 

The lower leagues should be helped by the PL but that needs the PL to be playing.

How does your policy of saying no football until September at the earliest (everyone is fired until August) and all football results are void (undermining the point of being interested in next season which will probably also be voided) help anyone?

 

Why would a Sept start mean voiding next season? Also I’d not even mentioned voiding the 19/20 season, just ending the half arsed £ driven ideas to see it ‘completed’.

 

If your attitude is cancel the season rather than be willing to deal with problems then there's no chance next season completes when the 2nd/3rd wave hits

 

Even more reason surely to stop things NOW ? All sports all fans . Jobs lost , lives probably made worse , BUT LIVES SAVED !

You can be rich then poor then rich again , and vice versa , but you only get ONE go at it .

Does it Honestly ? I don't know , but I would be amazed if the PL as a whole does not have enough to help the lower leagues out …….

 

The PL itself has about £1.5 billion in reserve

If there are games without crowds then the PL has to cover about £0.9 billion in lost revenue per season

If there are no games at all the PL cannot help itself let alone lower league clubs
