Only thing is, I really think we'll push for fourth place til the bitter end so I'm gonna say 5th. I'm totally unconvinced by Liverpool and I reckon we'll take points from them and Arsenal. Spurs look most likely to get fourth imo but I get the feeling Chelsea might start to slip down the table, they just don't look like the threat they used to be.

Gonna be a strange old season that's for sure.

 

This. I can't think of one transfer that was bad. I know people would disagree, but Carroll was over the odds, Jose wanted out, Barton is an ego we could do without, Nolan isn't that good. If someone offered £15m for Tiote I couldn't see Ashley accepting

 

But that's when they test his resolve and say "we'll offer the player what we think he's worth." And they offer to treble his wages. Will Ashley match that?

And yes it is a disgrace for two reasons :

1) Why can't they organise it in the summer like all other international competitions.

2) Why every 2 years? Why not every 4 years like, once again , every other international competition.

Did anyone else read in the Journal that we have gained more points at this stage of the season than any other team that finished 4th in the last 6 seasons? I am not saying we are going to get 4th because it is highly unlikely, but we have given ourself the platform to really push for Europe and I do not see any reason (apart from major injuries) why we could not get 7th at least.

if you look at the teams around us at this present time and there are only two team who are defensively solid us and Man city.I don't think we're any worse than Liverpool so 6th or 7th is a possibility but i think we'll fall short this season.you can't argue with the progress we've made this season it's like a mystery tour where we'll end up **** knows but it's been a great ride up till now. <feet firmly on the ground>

I don't think there is anyway we can keep up with the top 6. We'll have a terrible run of games at some point, I can't see us being as consistent as what the other top teams will be. They all have strength in depth, we have very little.

So? They all lived there at some point and would have played in it. Its just such a stupid time to play them, and clubs should have the option to refuse them to go.
