thankful? I'm ecstatic.

My link was poor and when i came back to the computer for the 2nd half the picture was still distored and I had no sound. it looked like norwich had gone 2-1 up. As most have said the 2nd half was dire and at the end I went down the bar for a couple of calming beers.

totally confused when iIback because because you're are saying we got a point. Went onto BBC sport and the table is saying we are 13th and played 3 games with 2 points.

I think it'll be better if I go out later for a few beers.

IF (sorry, when) we do begin to gel, which we should, and the defence gets sorted out we will be in a better place to get points from the more achievable games.

BUT .... they have their work cut out in the next couple of weeks to get it sorted.

Totally agree. If you're going to work on team structure and formation might as well do it in games nobody expects you to win. Chance to do this 'gelling' everyone is talking about. It will come...

Norwich regained their confidence and were fluent and creative as ever. Rangers all stars, being the away team on the back of a home drubbing, fumbled and bumbled our way to our first point on the road since last autumn. For both clubs a stepping stone back into this season's competition in different ways.

Norwich will be asking themselves with all their possession and inventiveness, how come they they failed to get the win against a side so obviously out of sorts.

Rangers will be asking themselves what needs to been done to forge a squad full of largely competent individuals into a capable and confident unit. Oddly enough, history suggests those next three games against City away, Chelsea home and Tottenham away could be a blessing in disguise. The pressure's off to some extent. We're not expected to get points from those games and yet we always seem to do better against the leading lights. If we can approach these games with the right 'ils ne passeront pas' attitude, could go a long way to helping us sort ourselves out longer term.

So was I pleased with our performance today? No, not really. Not whilst watching the game anyway. Too little cohesion and lots of unforced errors. The expression in Green's eyes confirm he's as nervous as we are. More butter-fingers moments, rooted to the goal line with absolutely no command of his area and all too many hoof outs invariably giving away possession. Hoilett was much better last week than this. Cisse less isolated but now having problems with timing his runs to avoid being pulled up for offside. Onouha looked the safer bet at CB; and Park and Mackie, whilst evidently limited, tended to do the right things on the ball most of the time.

Mark Hughes? Let's get this right shall we? He's not the friggin' Messiah, nor universal panacea for our troubles! He's just one of a number of largely capable prem managers there to do a job for an otherwise unfashionable little club like ours. He clearly doesn't have all the answers and is as fallible as anyone, as shown but his subbing of SWP for Hill last week and failure to pull the already carded and vulnerable Hill off before half time today (at that stage I found myself consciously preferring to concede again rather than get reduced to 10 men).

But overall, have to be happy with a point - especially with one coming away at Norwich where it seems we never do well anyway. Feeling much better this week than last, that's for sure.

But conversely the reason they may be tipped to go down is because of an inability to beat teams like us at home. To stay up those are games they have to win. So the bookies are probably right and we have taken a point from a tricky away game! Well done rrrr's!
