Flanman! I totally agree with what you write. But like you, I have seen all the games on a screen only. That's a huge difference from seeing them live- you miss the wide perspective, runs off the ball, players not running into space, long ball purpose, a lot of the tactics and stategy if you don't want believe what the commentators are telling you, and of course the bad and good vibes.. I have no ideas what Eamon is talking about re the Blackburn game, or the last 2 weeks, looked like the players worked their socks off to me, but I gues he was at the game and picked up on it. I'm coming over for Chelsea, and the Stoke and Norwich games if I can get tickets, and hope and expect to see the players, and fans, giving 100. Neal will sort it out - good to see he's looking at getting Hill back as well.
What concerns me is that in Barton, we have a captain that turns negative when things don't go to plan, rather than rallying team members, encouraging, and leading by example. If Barton want to have a go at Adel, speak to him. If necessary, discuss him with NW. But don't slag him off on twitter to raise Barton's own media profile. That will lead to discontent within the team, and is destructive. Last season, I remember NW talking about the great team spirit we had. I'm beginning to question whether this will be possible with Barton as captain. Some players rise to the challenge of captaincy. NW clearly thought Barton would. The jury's out and we must give him a chance. But early signs are not encouraging. Barton's spent his life shooting himself in the foot. Will he do that to our team?
Bang on 4 me best point so far He is being a horrible **** now for what reason? What will he become he joined us having been thrown out of Newcastle .... Not because of what he did on the pitch He is NO Captain
Queen's Park Rangers FC is slowly being subsumed into the vast media figure that is...JOEY BARTON (but may be I put my comment on the wrong thread)
